We're a destination U-Pick Flower Farm, also selling freshly-picked, ready-made bouquets. Swing by and say hi while you're exploring the beautiful nature and delicious wine nearby. Live in town and want fresh flowers on the regular? Grab one of our limited bouquet subscriptions, available for delivery! Wedding Wednesday, behind the scenes of Hannah + Jack’s very colorful autumn wedding. 🪩

Bouquets, centerpieces, aisle flowers and one seriously fun installation of greenery, flowers and disco balls. And did we mention floral trees?!

Turns out, it takes a lot more than flowers to make a wedding bloom. 🌸

We might be a little biased toward the flowers, but we know they’re only one piece of a much bigger picture. Behind every beautiful wedding is a whole crew of people making the magic happen. The planners juggling a million moving pieces. The photographers catching the moments you didn’t even know happened. The venues setting the scene. The caterers keeping everyone deliciously fed. The DJs and bands keeping the party going. And all the helping hands you might never see!

One of our favorite parts of this work? Getting to create alongside people who care just as much about the little details as we do.

September looked a little like this. 🌸

Our flowers made their way from the field to weddings, classrooms & homes. We celebrated big days, watched the farm start to shift toward fall, squeezed in a little time away & kept doing what we love with people we love.

A pretty sweet September around here.

5 September weddings. 5 completely different celebrations. & a whole lot of flowers grown, gathered and designed by our team!

No two weddings looked the same, & that’s one of our favorite things about designing with locally grown, seasonal flowers: we’re not recreating the same arrangements weekend after weekend. We’re creating something specifically for that celebration, with what the farm is giving us right then.

September looked like early-morning harvests, buckets filling the studio, vans packed to the brim, ladders climbed, tables set, installations built—and flowers making their way from our fields to celebrations across Northern Michigan.

If every guest is going to visit the seating chart, why not make it unforgettable? 🌿

For week two of Wedding Wednesday, we’re looking back at the seating chart we created for Sydney & Max’s wedding at The Peninsula Room. We tucked each section into an untamed little landscape of feathery grasses, sculptural seed heads, moss & winding foliage. Instead of simply directing guests to their tables, it became part of the experience as they arrived.

It’s also proof that creating impact doesn’t require putting flowers everywhere. One thoughtfully chosen statement piece, designed with seasonal materials in an unexpected way, can become one of the moments guests remember most.

Fall may officially begin today, but the field is still bursting with color, movement & late-season surprises.

The dahlias and marigolds are blooming, the cosmos are still dancing, and there are plenty of beautiful flowers left to come from the field. They just have other plans this week. 🤍

We’re harvesting heavily for a full weekend of weddings, so we’re giving U-Pick a little pause this week to make sure we have everything we need for our couples.

One of our favorite things about growing the flowers we design with is watching them go from a row in the field → to our buckets → to someone’s wedding day.

So while fall may officially be here, we’re not quite ready to say goodbye to flower season yet. We’ll keep gathering every beautiful stem until the first frost says otherwise. 🌸

Kayla & Rob’s wedding at Bay View was joyful, colorful & full of life. It was exactly the kind of celebration that gave our farm-grown flowers plenty of room to show off. 🌸

Their vision was a garden party that felt both classy & whimsical, with all the colors of a summer sunset. We brought it to life with bright pink, coral, yellow & orange, layered with fresh green and touches of blue. We used dahlias, zinnias, snapdragons & amaranth as the showstoppers, alongside globe thistle, larkspur, marigolds, cosmos & hydrangea. Together, they created plenty of movement, texture & the slightly unexpected details that make a design feel intentionally whimsical and unmistakably Moondance.

From cascading statement arrangements on pillars to lush centerpieces across the guest tables, that same natural, fresh-from-the-field feeling carried through the entire day. One of our favorite details was the flowy green amaranth, which wove its way through all of the key pieces: the altar arrangements, Kayla’s bouquet, the bridesmaids’ bouquets & even the table arrangements.

The designs served major garden party energy, while the bright colors popped against Bay View’s incredible natural, neutral beauty.

This wedding is a beautiful example of what happens when a couple lets color & feeling lead while trusting the season. Rather than following a flower recipe, we worked with what was blooming beautifully to create something that felt completely natural at Bay View & entirely true to Kayla & Rob.
