Hey Wildflowers! 🌿 Meet the designer behind the Wild, Fresh, Florals of Fresh Coast Floral Co.

Hi! I'm Stefanie, owner + designer of Fresh Coast Floral Co, and I design artful, intentional florals for weddings & events in Northern Michigan!

When I am not designing you can find me in nature, or spending time with my S.O. John, our cat Rasta, and pup Maple.

I started this business because I believe flowers are important for marking special occasions. Their dazzling colors, heavenly scents and fleeting beauty have a way of keeping us present while also creating lasting memories.

What started as an after-school job has blossomed into a career that I take an outstanding amount of pride in. As a child, I always wanted to be an artist and here I am 15 years into the floral industry living that dream.

I opened Fresh Coast Floral Co in 2021, after being in the industry for 10 years learning all that I could to give my clients the best possible service.

In these years I have earned 3 certifications: CF ( through the Great Lakes Floral Association, CFD ( through AIFD), as well as becoming an accredited member of the American Institute of Floral Designers ( it's like a PhD for florists). I also participate in floral competitions, give back knowledge teaching workshops and continue my education attending conferences.

My design style is nature inspired and artistically driven. I love wild combinations with movement and texture, utilizing unique blooms and curated color palettes. I love dreaming up designs that are unique to each client. At FCFC we don't follow trends. We create them.

Late to the trend but still had to participate!!!
Going through old photos and reminiscing on fond memories realizing this path was set out for me long before I knew what the future would hold.
The love of flowers, plants and Northern Michigan was instilled by my family from an early age.
I grew up watching my dad grow the best tomatoes and hearing stories of my great grandparent farmers and all they would grow.
I spent summers Up North with my mama and brother visiting my Aunt Kathy & Uncle John's dream business (Cyman Gardens - that was in Bellaire if you're familiar) walking through their gardens and greenhouses then jumping in Torch Lake after a long hot day.
I watched my Aunt Janet grow huge patches of zinnias and made my very first flower arrangement there.
We spent time camping, beach lounging, fruit picking, and star gazing.
We even hatched butterflies one summer.
As a October baby, Halloween and dressing up have ALWAYS been a staple for me.
I can hardly believe I've been living Up North for 20 years now... Time really does fly when you're having fun.
I hope in the next 20 years I will create a sanctuary where my nephew and family can come to visit and make lasting memories, like we did as kids.
I hope in the next 20 years I keep making the kid in me proud and continue to follow my dreams of being an artist , celebrating life's special moments with nature's greatest gifts...flowers.

☀️ Daydream, I fell asleep amid the flowers, for a couple of hours on a beautiful day ☀️
Daydreaming of warm spring days because we seem to not be getting much of those here in Northern Michigan.
This beautiful tablescape was put together last year and what a glorious table it was.
This season. My tulips popped at random times and my favorite double oranges never even bloomed. boo!
So... reminiscing on some brighter days while we are still waiting for spring to come this year.
We are less than a month from our season kick off and fingers crossed we have a warmer start for our sweet couples!!
Can't wait to celebrate our 2026 couples.

We are CRAVING sunshine here in Northern Michigan.
Warm days, lake swims, and fields of flowers can't come soon enough.
I'll be patiently waiting and reminiscing on some warmer days like A&R's day at
really captured the love and sunshine that radiates from this group.
Our bride A really chose a stunning palette. It was almost like her and R were carrying the sunshine with them. And those bridesmaids?! AND. The flower girl and ring bearer?!? They are like walking rays of sunshine!!
I just can't get enough!
Looking forward to the season and creating some truly special pieces for our clients.

🌬️ Some days you just need to play and experiment, no matter the circumstances.
I was excited and determined to use my lil tulips and daffs but ya known Michigan weather... it's a gamble.
Despite my best efforts this tablescape didn't stay exactly in place like I would have liked because of this wild wind!
Anyway, I was able to get some fresh air, a fresh perspective and some fresh ideas just playing and experimenting.
Ready for hot days, cool nights summer sun and buckets and buckets of flowers!
We are only taking on a few more events for the 2026 season so don't hesitate to book!

Maple 🍁 Fresh Coast Floral Co's assistant in training.
My lil baby is 13 weeks old already! Time is flying and she is getting SO big and SO smart, SO fast!!
Training has been a treat and a challenge and we are all learning new things.
She has already learned
sit, heal, sit, down, left, right, spins, middle, kisses and we're almost there with stay, and leave it.
We are exposing her more and more to the world and we look forward to this next, most important, month of training just in time for the season kick off!
She's still a little maligator but she's a real sweetie at the same time.

The creativity and ideas I have been sprouting during winter are ready to bloom and see the world.
We are flowering for some really incredible couples this season with some really fun and colorful vibes. Along with seeing through some passion projects of my own it's bound to be a beautiful season here in Northern Michigan.
