At The Pittsburgh Music Academy we teach using the philosophies of Shinichi Suzuki who believed every child could learn to be a fine musician! In the coming weeks we will be sharing what makes PMA and the Suzuki method so special in this Why Suzuki? series.

We kicked off the 2025-2026 school year with a lovely outdoor recital on Saturday! These students worked so hard over the summer and we can’t wait to hear more beautiful music in the coming months. Welcome back!

Here’s to a great year! Many of our students are heading back to school this week and we can’t wait to see them back at PMA for the fall semester starting August 25th. Don’t forget to register! A few things to note:
🎵private lessons begin August 25th
🎵group classes for comprehensive students begin mid-September
🎵NO increase in prices for the upcoming school year

Hey, PMA families! Join us in collecting toys and books for the 8th Annual Birthday Toy Drive benefitting The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh. Please bring your donations to PMA Greentree this week and we will deliver the gifts on Saturday in time for the festivities on June 19th at 2pm. We are thrilled to give back to this wonderful organization!

Ready to start violin lessons? Introduction to the Violin will use the principles of the Suzuki Method to give your student the best foundation to violin study. All supplies will be provided by PMA for the first classes and you may need to rent or purchase a violin by the end of the session.
Mondays June 30th through July 21st
6:00 to 6:45pm
