Last weekend the Florac Endurance celebrated its 50th anniversary and Christoph Schork from GETC succeeded in his 2nd attempt to finish this iconic French Endurance race finishing in 5th place in the National Division. An experience of a lifetime, riding with many French and international riders over terrain in many ways quite different from USA trails. While AERC endurance rides try to minimize riding on paved roads, in Europe riders are just more exposed to pavement riding and horses are very accustomed to it. Another great endurance experience over beautiful country of the Cévennes mountain range which is part of Massif Central. A huge THANK YOU goes out to Marion Mattoul for providing her beautiful and strong mare Apple du Colombier for me to compete on and Stéphane Chazel for his superb crewing and organizational skills and their hospitality. A special Thank you also to my wife Cat for her support and Carla Lakenbrink you made a special trip from Switzerland to help with crewing.

Back from the AHA Distance National Championship in Idaho's Old Selam. GE Pistol Annie won the 50 Mile Championship on day one and also was awarded the BC award. Day two in the open 50, GE Haatra (Kisses) was First and also received BC award. Day three saw Christoph riding GE Nitro to a third place in the 100 Mile Championship ride. Congratulations to Nicole Wertz who took the win that day. Heidi Stanke rode GE Haat Wheelz in the 100 mile race to an excellent 7th place. Congratulation to Heidi on her first 100 miler. Thank you to my wife Cat who did superb crewing for us riders. Awesome event with great veterinarians, super AHA staff and RMs. A huge Thank You to all the volunteers and helpers who made this another memorable Championship.

Intern position available at GETC. We offer free lodging and the opportunity to learn about endurance riding, conditioning programs, hoof care and participation in actual AERC endurance rides. Duties include: horse care, horse feeding, barn management, client interaction and conditioning and training rides. PM if interested or have further questions.

It’s hard to believe it’s only been a week since three of our Global Endurance Training Center (GETC) horses and riders crossed the finish line at Tevis 2025, all placing in the Top 20—an incredible accomplishment in the world’s most challenging 100-mile ride.
Today, we’re shining the spotlight on the phenomenal GE Pistol Annie, a Half-Arabian mare with a heart of gold and a resume to match.

Annie launched her endurance career in 2014 and has since logged 5,715 competition miles. Her record is not only long but impressive:

Back from the AERC National Convention in Reno. Again a successful Get Together with the endurance folks and friends from all over the country. GE Atticus Golden Sun from the Global Endurance Center had an exceptional season in 2024: She won the National War Mare Award as well as the National Best Condition Championship and Award. An incredible powerful mare ,she is a blast to ride in endurance. Very proud of her. Reactor Panel Saddle Company sponsored the BC Award and awarded her this awesome cooler, while GETC is the War Mare sponsor. A big Thank You to these two companies.

As the owner/manager of Global Endurance Training Center in Moab, Utah, I, Christoph Schork, have been testing and selling horse supplements and electrolytes for several decades. Two years ago I tested Vetline Electrolytes EQUILYTES. After using them a couple of times, I realized that these are much more palatable for my horses. Then, throughout the next few endurance races, it became apparent that they are also much faster absorbed by my horses gums, guts and intestinal track. The performance increased noticeably. My horses received more Best Condition Awards than ever before, 33 in 2022 and 25 so far in 2024.

Back from the City Of Rocks Endurance Event. On Sunday, GETCs horses GE Pistol Annie and GE Haat Rod finished the 55 miler together in First Place. Pistol Annie's hooves were protected with EasyCare Versa Grip Glue shoes, while Haat Rod wore Grip Glue shoes on the front and the Versa Octos on the hind hooves. A winning combination of excellent EasyCare products.
