Here at Salvatore's, October is the month of giving back and we wanted to give a HUGE shout out to our Amazing Fundraiser Groups!
**Project Linus**
- a non-profit organization that provides new, handmade, and washable security blankets to children and young adults from birth to 18 years old who are seriously ill, traumatized, or in need.
Their Mission: Named after the character Linus from the Peanuts comic strip—who famously carries a security blanket—the group aims to offer love, comfort, warmth, and a sense of security.
**Foster Cats**
- sponsorship drive organized by an animal rescue or shelter to raise money for cats and kittens living in temporary foster homes. Because rescue groups often lose money on long-term fosters, senior cats, or animals with high medical needs, these fundraisers help bridge the gap between adoption fees and actual care costs
**LifeSpan**
- non-profit based in Homestead, PA, that relies heavily on fundraising events, private donations, and grants to run local senior community centers, care management programs, and Meals on Wheels initiatives
