🌸 Meet the Team Friday 🌸
This week we’re highlighting our Wedding Manager, Emily! She first joined Flower Boys in 2023 as the Wedding Assistant, quickly grew into a Wedding Consultant and Designer during her very first “Wedding Season,” and stepped into the role of Wedding Manager this year.
Her favorite part of the job is celebrating love every single day and working closely with couples to bring their floral vision to life. She especially loves our Wedding Workshop option where she gets to use her background as an Elementary Educator to teach couples how to design their own flowers. It’s such a fun way to kick off the wedding festivities, learn something new, and even save on overall cost!

🌼We’re excited to start a new weekly series called Meet the Team Friday’s!🌼
Say hi to Myriah, our amazing Retail Manager & Intimate Wedding Designer! 🤍
Myriah’s journey with us started almost 3 years ago when she walked into the shop on a rainy day. The candles were lit, jazz was playing, and she thought, “How do I volunteer here?”, to which we replied, “No, we’ll pay you!”
She began as a contracted designer helping with floral work, then became our Wedding Assistant, and now leads the retail side of the shop while designing dreamy intimate weddings. 💐
When she’s not surrounded by flowers, you can find her out on Lake Monroe with her husband, Justin, their sweet son Weston, and their family. 🚤☀️

Our Story

It all started with Jake Smith’s grandfather, a Dutch farmer, growing tulips and gladiolus for his entire life. It was then passed onto the next generation where Smith’s family started The Flowerman, Inc. located in Dayton & Columbus, Ohio. That inspired two boys, Jake Smith & Jake Rupp, to try their hands at the bloom business.

Since opening in April of 2017, The Flower Boys have grown to include two top-notch, fun-loving flower girls, Jeanette Logan & Beth Ann Thomas. They handle shop operations, social media, & event design. Be sure to visit us in City Market and say hello!
