Gold in the garden! 💛

Our autumn foliage is still absolutely beautiful - now that some of the earlier trees have finished their show, the Ginkgo and Tulip trees are coming into the spotlight, and we've even got some vireya flowers (Rhododendron macgregoriae var. macgregoriae) to match their colour. The carpet of ginkgo leaves in the Glade is especially gorgeous - their splendour is worth a trip to enjoy in person!

Taking a quick break from the gorgeous autumn foliage to spotlight another beautiful feature of the garden! Mexican bush sage (Salvia leucantha) flowers from spring all the way through summer and autumn, with masses of vivid purple blooms. The bees love it and it's a gorgeous addition to the Dell where its fuzzy flowers perfectly complement the textures of the Miscanthus grasses 💜

The autumn colours continue to dazzle in the garden! Chilly evenings and sunny days are the perfect combination for beautiful foliage and great views. 🍂

Our current highlights are the Japanese maples (Acer species), tulip trees (Liriodendron tulipifera) in the Glade, and the black tupelo (Nyssa sylvatica) by the ponds - but everywhere you look, there's something to enjoy! 🧡

How good was yesterday’s Fungi + Mushrooms workshop! 🍄

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to explore the fascinating world of fungi, from the toxic to the tasty and everything in between. It was great to see so many people keen to learn more about the hidden life of the garden.

More autumn colours in the early morning sunshine... the garden is just breathtaking right now! 🍁

We can't decide on a favourite - the crimson foliage of the American sweetgum, the golden-hued tulip tree, the deep red Japanese maples, the bright orange of the tupelo tree, or the combination of them all together. What's your favourite on display at the moment?

The garden is well worth a visit while the deciduous trees are looking this good.

Look at this autumn colour! 🍁

The garden has exploded into red and yellow in the last few days and it's just stunning in the sunshine. There's beautiful foliage around every corner, but the best spots are at the lookout at the top of the hill, in the Glade and down on the River Flat.

Make sure to see it while it's looking this good!
