Point Chevalier Community Centre

Pt Chev Community Centre offers a range of interesting programmes, events and activities throughout the year. The centre also has rooms available for hire.

We aim to serve the community through providing a range of quality of workshops, classes, activities and events. We have three spaces available for hire with special rates for community groups.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Spring Fling Clothing Swap on Saturday.

Special thanks to Waiōrea Community Recycling Centre for donating the very first bags of clothing to kick things off. With your help and all the wonderful community donations, we’ve diverted four rubbish bags worth of clothing from landfill and given people’s wardrobes a fresh new lift.

We loved seeing outfits head off to new homes, the buzz of people finding treasures and of course enjoying free coffee while soaking up the sunshine and good Pt Chev vibes.

A massive thanks to our helpers on the day, KiKi and Maggie. Absolute stars!

We can’t wait to do it all again in February.

Who's ready for our Spring Fling Clothing Swap!!!
Get ready to 'fling out the old and fling on the new'...
Drop your spring/summer items from Monday 1st September onwards at the Pt Chev Little Library (in the Annex at the back of the Pt Chev community centre) or bring them along on the day.
No items to donate, no problem - please still come along and source some new-to-you clothes.
Please ensure all donated items are in good condition and fresh‘n clean.
All sizes and styles of adult and kids clothing and accessories gratefully received.
This is a free event, open to all!
We will have a coffee cart serving free coffees and hot beverages to keep you all going while you browse.
This is our third time running our clothing swap, and they just keep getting bigger and better, so please share this with your friends, and come along!

What an incredible Kids Only Market at Mt Albert War Memorial Hall on Saturday.
The stalls were so creative, what a talented group of local youth, its amazing to see the quality our young makers are producing.

Watercare joined us with fun games and information about the Central Interceptor project. There was a direct view of the crane operating on the Watercare site next door. This created a fantastic real-world connection for the children and to share what that giant hole next to YMCA is.

A big thank you to everyone who came along to support and to the Albert-Eden Local Board for consistently supporting this event and the local rangatahi.

We’ll be back on Saturday 1 November for the next market.
