The romance of sleeves.

There is something wonderfully graceful about a wedding dress with sleeves, and Rose shows just how light and elegant that look can feel.

There is something incredibly striking about a beautifully simple wedding dress.

If you love clean, uncomplicated styles but worry that a simple gown might not feel special enough, often the opposite is true. Without lots of embellishment competing for attention, the cut, fabric and fit become the focus.

Clean lines frame the bride, creating a look that feels elegant, confident and timeless.

Are vintage-inspired wedding dresses making a comeback?

Bridal fashion often moves in cycles, and after several seasons dominated by clean lines and minimalist gowns, we’re beginning to see something softer emerging.

For the new bridal season, expect warmer ivory tones, beautiful lace, boho influences and more natural, textured fabrics - romantic without feeling overly traditional.

Real bride Bridgid chose just that balance for her wedding dress. Her boho lace gown was created in richly textured guipure over warm oyster satin, allowing the detail of the ivory lace to really come to life.

It’s vintage inspired, relaxed and beautifully romantic - and perhaps a little glimpse of where bridal fashion is heading next.

Can a simple wedding dress still make an entrance?

Absolutely - and Laura is a lovely example of how much impact can come simply from beautiful fabric and a strong cut.

Made in glossy Mikado satin, Laura has a structured bodice with a stepped basque waist, flowing into a full A-line skirt and generous train.

From the back, the details really shine: a low V-neckline, slender straps, covered buttons and subtle peplum shaping that beautifully defines the waist.

There’s no lace or beading competing for attention. Instead, it’s all about the silhouette, the sheen of the satin and the way the skirt moves.

Simple, but definitely not plain.

When Felicity came to see me, she was looking for a wedding dress she could take to the UK, where she would marry surrounded by her family.

While trying on gowns at our Auckland bridal boutique, she fell in love with a glamorous, vintage-inspired design. The hand-beaded bodice featured delicate cap sleeves and a low scoop back, with the intricate detailing balanced by a simple, flowing A-line skirt.

When Sophie came to see us for her consultation, she chose a closely fitted fit-and-flare wedding dress with a striking low back.
