ACES batter Bevon Jacobs will take up an opportunity with the Brisbane Heat for the opening three games of the 2026/27 Big Bash League season.

Jacobs, who is contracted to Auckland Cricket, will take leave from his Auckland commitments to join the Heat for the start of the BBL campaign in early December.

He is likely to miss one Plunket Shield fixture for Auckland, before returning to the squad for the remainder of the domestic season.

The opportunity comes on the back of two outstanding seasons of T20 cricket for Auckland, with Jacobs ending each Super Smash season as the ACES' top scorer. He has also become a regular fixture in the BLACKCAPS' T20 lineup since making his debut in July 2025.

Thanks for your service, Jeet 🫡

After a career spanning over 15 years, Jeet Raval has retired from professional cricket.

Jeet played for the ACES between 2008/09 and 2019/20, scoring over 4,500 runs (the 3rd most for Auckland) in first class cricket with 13 centuries. This is coupled with almost 2,000 in the white ball formats.

A true legend of the domestic game. All the best with your next adventure, Jerry!
