This isn't a typical bar open mic - we carefully choose the lineup to guarantee you a good time. Be part of the comedy development process and help our comedians work out which jokes are hot and which ones burn. (please don’t burn the cardboard though!) 🔥

If you’ve been to the Cardboard Comedy Club over the last 12 months, there’s a good chance you’ve seen this guy Joel Vinsen perform - he’s been a regular on our stage.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t feature him on our Sunday lineup last week because he was busy receiving the prestigious Billy T Award for “an outstanding emerging performer with a commitment to their comedy career” (obviously he has a warped sense of priorities, a little like his humour!).

We set up Cardboard Comedy as a community venue to provide comedians with quality stage time, great audiences and a place to develop. Joel, we saw firsthand how hard you worked toward the Billy T and are stoked we could be a teeny tiny part of this by providing a stage for you to work your material.

Huge congratulations - we hope you haven’t become too famous and successful to perform in our cardboard room in the future!
