Last delivery of the season. This was a condolence bouquet in honour of a woman taken much too early from cancer. My heart was heavy to deliver this.

August started with a bike race on Sointula Island, and then home to a garden in need of care, and a returned respiratory infection. I sort of rested, and pushed through with flower deliveries and my sons birthday and all the fullness of summer, until my fellow came home one day, looked at me and said “you’re grounded”, and “we’re cancelling the rest of plans for this week.” Apparently I truly looked as though I needed that 🤪. The next week was a sweet reset of true rest, the kind I really needed, and I’m so grateful for his insistence on this. Then I was ready to face the final fullness of summer, which included a wedding of one of my sons childhood friends and a big family reunion.

July, you are going to need two parts… you were FULL.
Bright, sunny, abundant. Gardens, friends, family, creativity, biking, and an amazing kayak trip in the Broughton Archipelago.

June was a month of leaving the garden 1/2 way through, just as things started to provide, for our planned road trip into the interior of BC. This was the first time for me heading back to the Kootenays after 21 years and It was bringing back memories of travelling with my two little ones then. This time Rory and I had bikes packed for an epic adventure that unfortunately got detoured by a nasty summer flu for me, but other adventures and beauty were to be had anyways, and still fun on our bikes, just at an easier pace.
It was a treat to go off adventuring in June and we both fell in love with the Kootenays again.

Season in review continuation…
Sweet May, where spring explodes into GREEN. So much growth and beauty. Planting almost done. Drip lines set up, beauty in abundance.
Is this my beautiful life?!

Here we go… season in review.. starting in April.
April showers bring May flowers. Full of hope and anticipation for all that is to come. Dreams, aspirations and fresh starts. This is spring.
Oh yes, and sore muscles too…

It’s been a minute!!
I see that my last post was in April! 😁
Really I’ve just had no desire to stay “relevant”, or keep some spot in the elusive algorithm, or sell myself..
I’ve been busy living a full season of growth and adventures.
But now, as September is upon us I can feel those stirrings to “organize” my life a little… take stock of all that has been sown and harvested this full season from spring, summer and now heading in to fall.
Here is a LOVE FILLED bouquet I delivered today.
One of two lovely arrangements that I was privileged to deliver into another’s hands.
