Due to the weather, we’re postponing the Buchanan Hall Market grand opening by 1 week!

Due to the impending weather and a village wide power infrastructure update, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the Grand Opening of the Buchanan Hall Market. We want to start the season off with a bang and create the best possible experience for our staff, vendors, musicians, and guests. The safety of our community always comes first, and with the forecast ahead, postponing is the right call.

We can’t wait to kick off the season together soon — our new opening date with be May 27th and get ready for an even bigger celebration in the garden!

🎥 Today at 6 pm! Award-winning filmmaker Tom Davenport of Delaplane will screen two of his most popular short films, It Ain’t City Music, a look at the1972 National Country Music Contest at Lake Whippoorwill in Warrenton; and Thoughts on Fox Hunting (1975), which focuses on legendary foxhunters Melvin and Peggy Poe and the Orange County Hunt hounds.

🎉 📣 Help us celebrate our Board President, George Fletcher Slater’s birthday!

You can spot Fletcher with a big smile at the , working on projects for the historic building, hitting the slopes ⛷️ with the kids, casting a line 🎣 at the goose, cheering on the Commanders with his dad, or simply enjoying the lively atmosphere around town with his wife Caitlin and family!

Fletcher is proud of his Upperville, Virginia roots. He spent his childhood on a horse farm with his parents, Bucky & Nick, and his sister, Kate. Now, he’s raising his kids, Bowie & Beck, there with his lovely wife, Caitlin, and a whole pack of dogs, donkeys, and more!

Fletcher is a graduate of Hill School in Middleburg and Highland School in Warrenton. He graduated with honors from Shenandoah University in Wi******er with a degree in Business Administration.

Outside of work, Fletcher is deeply involved in the local community. He helps guide & volunteer with the Piedmont Child Care Center, The Piedmont Fox Hounds, and many other groups!
