Today, I had an experience with a lovely 75-year-old woman named Mary that really touched my heart. Mary had ordered a few charcuterie boards for a book club she holds with other women who are in a similar season of life. When I arrived, Mary was frazzled and seemed a little tense. We didn’t quite see eye to eye at first, and there was a bit of friction between us. I could tell she was feeling overwhelmed, and my heart went out to her.
I took a moment to step away and pray, asking God for wisdom and compassion. I didn’t fully understand the tension between us, but I knew I needed to show love, even if things weren’t going perfectly. When I returned, things were still a bit tense, but I decided to let her have things her way, even when she was stressed and struggling. Compassion isn’t always about saying the right thing, but sometimes about giving someone space to grieve and showing up with love.
As I left her home and reflected on the day, I cried out to God, asking why there had been so much tension. When Mary called to pick up the equipment, she surprised me with a heartfelt hug and an apology. She told me I had a special kind of love that she wanted in her life. It was such a powerful moment when she said, “Jesus loves you,” and I replied, “He loves you too, Mary.” She broke down in tears, sharing how hard it was for her to accept God’s love in her heart.
Mary shared that she had lost a close friend recently and was carrying a lot of grief. We prayed together, and I shared a few scriptures with her. By the end of the day, she told me, “I thank God for you every day now.”
This experience reminded me why I do what I do. Some days are harder than others, and doubts creep in. But moments like these show me that catering is more than just a business for me—it’s ministry. Mary said to me, “You’re not working, you’re doing ministry,” and that was a powerful affirmation for me.

🌟 The Light Shines in Our Lives 🌟
God is so good. 💖 Thinking about His life, His love, and His sacrifice, I am reminded that He truly chases after us. 💫 I know this isn’t business talk, and it’s not a catering post, but today I just felt really pulled and called to share a personal experience. When you step out in faith and trust in Him to show you the way, He brings people together in ways you can never imagine. 🙏
We’re never alone, even when we feel like we are. God sees us. He hears us. He searches our hearts, and that’s such a beautiful thing. 💫 Even in the silent night, when we think of the little child in Bethlehem, I’m reminded of His love. The only begotten Son came to die for us, so that we may live. That’s the true miracle. 🎄
John 3:16 (ESV):
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” ✝️
Praise Him. 🙌🏾 He is worthy of our worship today and every day. What is a gift without His presence? His presence is the greatest gift of all. 🎁 The world will be praised and worshiped in His name. 🙏
I’m just so thankful. I wouldn’t have Compassion Catering LLC, my family, my friends, or anything without the Lord Jesus Christ. 🙏❤️
Today, I’m taking a moment to celebrate faith. I’m thankful for this second chance, for life, for mercy, and for the miracles that surround us. 🌿
