Charles Charnow is the Regional Director for O’Neill’s Inflight Catering with over 35 years of hospitality leadership and nearly a decade in private aviation catering.
His career began as a dishwasher at Bob’s Big Boy, where his initiative quickly earned him opportunities in food prep and the kitchen. He later joined Ground Round, advancing from line cook to new store trainer, Kitchen Manager at age 20, and General Manager by 23.
Over the next 30 years, he successfully led casual dining restaurants before transitioning into private aviation catering in Los Angeles.
Charles quickly developed a passion for aviation catering, rising to Regional Director for one of the industry’s largest catering companies, overseeing seven West Coast locations from Seattle to Los Angeles and supporting some of the world’s busiest flight operations.
He believes flight attendants depend on catering partners to deliver restaurant-quality food that is beautifully presented and ready to serve at 27,000 feet.
That commitment to excellence motivates him to mentor teams, collaborate with operators, and ensure every order creates a memorable “wow” experience.
Charles is most proud of building strong leadership teams, developing future leaders, and creating lasting partnerships with customers.
While aviation catering is fast-paced and constantly changing, he thrives on the challenge and believes that passion, teamwork, and strong relationships are the foundation of exceptional service.✨
