Had the chicken pita with falafel on the side, the chicken was incredibly succulent and juicy!!! The falafel had the best texture, crunchy on the outside very very soft in the inside. We also had the lemon chicken salad special, it was delicious! Loved the honey lemon dijon dressing, paired very well with the chicken. We will definitely be back! Also Stephanie took such good care of us, giving suggestions and answering questions since we were new to this restaurant.

First time here and Stephanie took the time to go over menu choices. Chicken was so good, tender & juicy. I had the Citrus Chicken Salad w/side of hummus. Delicious! Will definitely be back. Thanks!

Our Legacy

Greeks are legendary for their place in the restaurant business. Life in the villages of Greece revolves around hospitality- guests are family and shop owners take pride in offering their very best. Our legacy began with Papouli Tom (my Grandfather), who bought his heritage to America, opening his first restaurant in San Antonio in 1912.

In Greece, Papoulis and YiaYias (grandfathers and grandmothers) are revered by all for their wisdom and hearty spirit. That’s why we’re so honored that the legacy of Papouli Tom's restaurant was passed to my father, Dan, and on to me. Now we’re carrying the Anthony family tradition into its fourth generation, honoring our family’s heritage and sharing our spirit of hospitality.

And so, Papouli’s Greek Grill continues the legacy of passing on a tradition common in all cultures— warm and genuine hospitality through great food, lasting friendships, and good times.
