Victoria Mansion 2024 x Stories Of The Season 📖

Mark Twain’s heartwarming short story, “A Letter from Santa Claus,“ is a touching note written to his daughter Susy, disguised as a letter from Santa Claus himself. In it, Santa reassures the little girl that he’s watching over her and promises to grant her Christmas wishes. The letter is filled with warmth, wit, and fatherly love, capturing the magic of Christmas from a child’s perspective. Twain’s playful yet
tender tone not only highlights the wonder of childhood belief but also the deep bond between parent and child during the holiday season.

Inspired by the nostalgic magic of Mark Twain’s letter, we transformed the library into a timeless Victorian Christmas scene, evoking the same sense of wonder a child feels on Christmas morning. The space was adorned with rich jewel tones of maroon, evergreen, and navy, accented with plaid and berry notes. Hundreds of hanging letters cascade from the ceiling, representing the heartfelt wishes children write to Santa, creating a magical setting. The design transports you back in time, evoking a magical, nostalgic experience that makes you feel like a kid on Christmas once again. ❤️🌲🎅🏻🎁

We’re excited to be part of this effort to spread joy and warmth this holiday season and we’re thrilled to see our wreaths bring a little extra cheer this month!🎄❤️

Furniture Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides donated furniture to people in need throughout Greater Portland. With ongoing support from the community, they are able to fulfill their mission of “Creating Homes. Rebuilding Lives.”

By providing people with essential furniture, Furniture Friends:

•helps children get a good night’s rest by providing beds for them in which to sleep,
•provides comfort and security to people suffering from physical, mental, or other chronic illnesses,
•supports people escaping domestic violence and abuse,
•aids families fleeing war-torn countries in transitioning to permanent housing,
•supports people who have been homeless by helping create safe and stable housing,
•and, restores dignity and respect to veterans who’ve served our country and fallen on hard times.

Chevaughn’s Story

At age 19, I snagged a job at a bridal boutique selling wedding dresses. From there, my story starts.

With over 8 years of experience in design, my love of working with florals, events, and spaces keep growing. I started Chevaughn Marie Designs with the intent of creating something special for people, something that they wouldn’t forget. Born and raised in Maine, I know that we are hardworking people. We are people that love to love, and love to help.

I am here to help you create something magical. Something you will never forget.

When I'm not in the studio, you can find me walking my pup, Franklin on the beach or watching a movie with a cup of earl grey tea… or glass of wine, depends on the day.
