I love this time of year when I get to visit local organic farms and hand-select the flowers I want to bring into my work. 🌻

Today’s haul is an assortment of dark, moody sunflowers, which just happen to be my absolute favorite. Don’t get me wrong, the classic bright yellow, sunny sunflowers are beautiful, but there’s something about these deeper, chocolatey tones that I just can’t resist. 🤎🌻

Give me the dark ones every time.

For this one, I created preserved terrariums filled with ferns, flowers, and butterflies for their living room area, bringing a little bit of forbiddenfruitportland out into the living room. 🌿🦋

I love finding unexpected ways to bring the magic of a space into another part of it.

The majority of this arrangement was freshly picked from an organic farm on Sauvie Island, featuring chocolatey-toned sunflowers, zinnias, cockscomb celosia, roses, cosmos, and amaranthus, finished with camellia foliage from my own garden.

Fresh, locally grown, and safe for your curious little flower-loving companions. 🌿🐾

This birthday arrangement features sunny yellow garden roses, pink pincushion flowers, purple stock, chrysanthemums, fragrant lavender, whimsical poppy pods, and delicate feverfew, in a garden-style design. Every stem was chosen to celebrate another trip around the sun, and the giant dandelion is tucked in as a special finishing touch, ready for the birthday girl to make a wish before sending its seeds out into the world.

What an incredible honor it was to create the flowers for my nephew and his beautiful bride, Saoirse, on their wedding day. Watching someone you’ve loved since they were little marry the love of their life is something truly special.
