Last night’s workshop was so much fun! Every single design was a masterpiece, and I’m so proud of my students and the creativity they brought to the table.

One of my favorite things about teaching workshops is the banter, laughter, and conversation that happen while everyone is creating. You’d think these folks had known each other for years, but most of them were meeting for the very first time. There’s something special about flowers bringing people together and creating connections along the way.

Thank you to everyone who joined me! I loved seeing your beautiful creations come to life! And thank you Lamont Bros. Design & Construction for providing such a welcoming beautiful space for us to create along with the tasty charcuterie. And thank you to Dagger Daisy Wine for the delicious fresh fruit wine cocktails!

One of my clients always sends me inspiration artwork when I’m creating arrangements for his mom or wife, I love the challenge.

It reminds me of when I was in floral school and we partnered with an art gallery for a design project. Each of us was assigned a piece of artwork and had to create a floral arrangement inspired by it , something that complemented and showcased the art itself.

I ended up winning the project, and my arrangement was featured in the paper to promote the exhibition.

Translating color, texture, movement, and feeling from one art form into another. Flowers really are art.
