It’s not the glamorous part of flower farming—but it’s what keeps the flowers (and your bouquets) fresh and beautiful.💛

It’s hard to believe these tiny pumpkins will become one of my favorite fall creations.

🌿 A little off-topic from flowers....
Turn the sound on for a little garden ASMR. 🧄🐦
Garlic was one of the very first crops I ever grew as a home gardener. Even though SoPo Blooms has become a backyard flower farm, I’ll always make room for garlic.
I plant it in the fall, which means one less crop to worry about during the busy spring season. By the time July rolls around (and the bottom three leaves have died back) it’s ready to harvest—and the bed is freed up for another succession of blooms.
There’s something incredibly satisfying about hearing the roots pull from the soil, brushing away the dirt, and harvesting something you’ve been waiting on all season.
Plus... I cook with garlic almost every day, and it stores beautifully for months. It’s one of the most rewarding crops I grow.
