Lifestyles of the rich and famous...
Some die with their name, SOME DIE NAMELESS. Started as a fake band with fake flyers for fake shows to be performed by fake members, SDN’s current form is that of a promotion team, working in conjunction with various bands, venues and promoters in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. We began putting on monthly shows at the Fallout Shelter in Aliquippa, PA in 2015 and soon branched out into venues within the PGH city limits including Black Forge Coffee House, Spirit, Cattivo, Howlers and the Night Gallery. Though our focus has been on the metal, punk and ska scenes, we hope to branch out further into other genres. We have worked primarily with local bands including Children of October, Super Fun Time Awesome Party Band, Latecomer, Only Flesh, Murder For Girls and many more. We have also worked with many national and international bands including Michale Graves, the Independents, Black Cat Attack, The Jasons, The Renfields and many more. Our Half Covered Halloween event, in which participating bands perform half sets of original songs and half sets of cover songs, has become a fan favorite and highly anticipated staple of our yearly schedule. 2018 will not only mark our 4th Annual Half Covered Halloween, but also saw the birth of a spin-off event held in April called Halfway to Half Covered Halloween. We also hosted a yearly festival called the Outsider Music Festival, celebrating the offbeat and weird musical stylings of local and touring bands alike. 2018 marked the 3rd and final Outsider Music Festival. We recently co promoted Katzulhu Fest in PGH with Katzulhu Productions, who are slated to move to the PGH area in 2019 from their homebase in Chicago. The rest of our story is really up to the fans of live music and the bands we book... We are not looking to get rich from what we do for bands.... But we are also not looking to go broke either. We do not ever take a profit from these shows and at best, we are lucky to break even between rental fees, flyers and sometimes guarantees for bands. The future is uncertain for us. Help us stay afloat by inviting your friends to like our page, share our events, and dammit... show up to the shows to support the bands!
