A very lovely Merry Christmas it is and a Happy New Year!
I want to take a moment of time to thank every single one of our customers. It is because of YOU that Timeless Tulip flourishes and keeps growing. It warms my heart hearing the amazing things that you have to say and spread the word about this little flower shop I love so dearly. Your support is what helps me wake up in the morning excited that I get to go to work to serve you beautiful florals. I am profoundly grateful for that because I feel like that is a rare experience amongst my generation. Thank you for allowing me to do something I absolutely love!
Something I have learned this year in a small business community like Pella, is allowing myself to lean on those willing to help. This sounds so silly to some, but those who really know me, know how type A I can be. This year, I've learned to not hold the reigns so tightly and even pass the reigns for brief moments. I've realized that I cannot do everything myself (despite the fact that I wish I could), and I am so grateful for the team that I have willing to step up to help a girl out. Isn't that what small business charm is though? When friends, family, or close-knit team members work together, there’s a warmth you can feel the moment you walk in. Conversations are genuine, smiles aren’t forced, and customers are treated like neighbors rather than transactions. Everyone knows the story behind the business because they’re part of that story themselves. Who all is on my team? My employees, my family, my friends, my community, and my customers.
What will the small business charm of Timeless Tulip look like in 2026? New appreciation programs for those in the community, working with more small businesses in the community, and delivering the same quality local service you know us for.
