Here’s what you should be asking (and why it matters):

🌧️ Weather contingency
What’s the actual backup plan if it rains? Is there an indoor option included, or are you suddenly renting a tent at the last minute? Weather plans should be clear, realistic, and in writing before you sign.

🪑 What’s actually included
Tables? Chairs? Linens? Glassware? Some venues include the basics, others charge per piece. Those “small” rentals add up fast and can quietly blow your budget.

⏰ Access & timing
When can vendors arrive to set up? When does everything need to be broken down? Tight windows = rushed vendors = stressed you. You want breathing room built into the day.

💄 Getting ready spaces
Is there a bridal suite? A space for the groom? Are they included or an upcharge? Getting ready sets the tone for the entire day — and no one wants to start in a cramped bathroom.

👨‍🍳 Vendor policy
Can you bring in your own caterer, photographer, DJ? Or are you required to use a preferred list? This impacts your budget, your style, and how much creative control you actually have.

Bottom line: the venue that looks “affordable” upfront can easily become the most expensive once the extras are added in.

These questions aren’t nitpicky - they’re protective.

The months (sometimes years) of decisions, emails, guest lists, timelines, seating charts, weather checks, family logistics, and all the little things that kept them up at night are finally behind them.

That deep exhale? That’s my favorite part.

This reaction is incredibly common. Couples who care the most often feel the most pressure. Experience teaches you that anxiety doesn’t mean doubt — it means you’re in a moment that matters.

Take a breath. You’re not doing this wrong.

I’ve always found the term *bridezilla* a little odd.

Because so often, the bride isn’t being “difficult.”

She’s trying to balance her own vision with her parents’ expectations, her future in-laws’ opinions, her bridal party’s schedules, family traditions, budget realities, guest requests, and about a hundred other voices... all while planning one of the biggest days of her life.

That’s a lot for one person to carry.

Does every bride handle stress perfectly? Of course not. None of us do.

But I think we need to be a little slower to label women as “too much” when they’re navigating the weight of everyone else’s expectations on a day that’s supposed to celebrate *them*.

Maybe instead of asking, “Why is she acting like that?” we should ask, “How many people are pulling her in different directions right now?”

A little grace goes a long way. 🤍

I know… the movies kind of tricked us into thinking it’s all cake tastings, champagne, and saying “yes” to the dress.

In reality? It’s seating charts, family opinions, budget spreadsheets, vendor emails, timeline changes, and somehow making 200 people happy while trying not to lose your mind.

The stress isn’t the sign that you’re doing something wrong. It’s just part of planning a wedding.

The problem is when you feel like you have to carry all of that by yourself.

That’s where I come in.

You can still make the decisions, dream up the details, and enjoy the exciting moments. I’ll just be the one carrying the spreadsheets, putting out the fires, answering the emails, and making sure your wedding doesn’t become your full-time job.

Because planning a wedding is stressful enough. You shouldn’t have to do it alone. 🤍
