Is this AI? I don't think so.

I have been experimenting with AI image generation lately and I have to say, the results are pretty impressive. Just look at this one. The colors, the light, the way she seems to glow in the frame. You can almost feel the technology working behind it, right?

Well, this is not AI. Not even close.

This is a real image of a real girl. This is Ava at her Bat Mitzvah pre-session. Those orchids are not generated. Those colors are very real. This image is simply the result of the vision of the photographer, ME, and the wonderful energy of my subject, AVA, and of course the universe deciding to show up and create the perfect backdrop for a moment that will never repeat itself and that now lives on in a photograph her mom will treasure forever.

Moments like this cannot be prompted. You cannot type them into a text box and hit generate. And yes, AI is probably capable of producing something that looks similar. But it would only be that. A replica. A digitally generated copy with no soul and no story behind it.

That is the magic no AI can replicate.

Real moments. Real light. Real memories that will last for a lifetime.

I found this message on a post a long time ago and I saved it planning to use it someday on the right post. Well I think it is time to post it. Dedicated to those who have found their true love.

Choosing you should not be a decision made in a single day, but a promise that renews itself in the simple things: in the good moments, in the difficult days, and in everything that happens in between. Because truly loving someone is not about finding a perfect person, it is about finding someone worth building imperfectly with, every single day.

I hope life keeps finding us in the little things: laughing for no reason, looking at each other and understanding everything without a word, being there for one another when the world feels heavy, and celebrating together when everything goes right.

Because in the end, more than a love story from the movies, what I wish for is a real love... one of those that always chooses each other and never loses the habit of making each other laugh.

The perfect partner does not exist. Real love begins the moment we stop looking for perfection and start embracing the person in front of us, flaws and all. It grows when they look back at us the same way, loving not despite our imperfections, but because of them. That is when love stops being a dream and becomes something truly real.

Eleven years ago I photographed Bryce's Bar Mitzvah. This past weekend I was there for his sister Danielle's Bat Mitzvah. And I have to be honest, moments like this stop me in my tracks.

To watch a family grow across more than a decade, to be trusted not once but twice with celebrations this meaningful, that is something I will never take for granted.

Jamie and Jonathan, there are truly no words for what it means to me that you welcomed me back. That you trusted me again. That you let me be there for Danielle the way I was there for Bryce. It is a gift I do not take lightly.

And it did not stop there. Looking around that room I saw faces I recognized. Parents who have worked with me through the years. Kids I have photographed before. Kids whose Mitzvahs are just around the corner. That feeling is hard to put into words. It is refreshing. It is inspiring. It reminds me exactly why I do this work.

Danielle's Bat Mitzvah feels like the closing of a beautiful cycle. And that closure has gotten me thinking. Thinking about how blessed I am for every single opportunity I get to document these moments. For every family that chooses to work with me. For every celebration I have been invited into. None of it is lost on me.

Someday, when the time comes for me to step away from this work, I know I will do so with a full heart. Because what I am walking away with is not just photographs. It is a collection of relationships, memories, and moments that have brought me many happy moments just as much as I hope my photos have brought happy moments to the families I have served.

Jamie, Jonathan, Bryce, and Danielle. Thank you for letting me be part of your story, then and now. It has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

And thank you to all the vendors that make this celebration an amazing experience for this family.

Last weekend, the Celebration of Miracles Gala 2026 brought the South Florida community together at the Loews Coral Gables Hotel in support of ICU baby, a Miami-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting families with premature or critically ill babies in NICUs across Florida, providing emotional, financial, and informational support so that babies and their families can thrive together.

The room was filled with philanthropic leaders, community partners, and sponsors including Amazon, Gables Pediatrics, Kamarcik Enterprises, Prolacta, Emed, PVG, Pure Insurance, and many others, all gathered with one shared purpose: to give these families the support they need during one of the most difficult chapters of their lives.

There is a particular kind of energy at an event like this. The elegance of the setting, the generosity in the room, and the weight of the mission behind it all create something that goes well beyond a typical gala. Moments like these are a reminder of what a community can accomplish when it shows up with intention.

ICU baby is the largest NICU family support organization in Florida and one of the largest in the country. Events like this are what make that work possible.

It was an honor to be part of this evening. If you are not already familiar with the incredible work ICU baby does, I encourage you to learn more at www.icubaby.org.

Some nights just have a different energy. Ava's New York Inspired Bat Mitzvah was one of those nights.

From the moment the music started, mom and dad never left the dance floor. Not once. That kind of joy is contagious and honestly it sets the tone for the whole room. When the parents are all in, everyone else follows.

The decor by .creationz was stunning. Every detail felt intentional, layered, and alive. And kept the energy exactly where it needed to be all night long.

Ava's celebration was a reminder of what a Bat Mitzvah can be when every piece comes together. Not just a party. A moment the whole family will carry with them for a long time.
