Welcome to the FFEA Family: City of Cooper City, FL Government! 🎉

Please help us give a warm FFEA welcome to our newest member, the City of Cooper City!

Located in southwest Broward County, Cooper City has been bringing people together since 1959. Known as “Someplace Special,” the city has held onto its close-knit community feel while growing into a vibrant South Florida community filled with parks, recreation and, of course, events that give neighbors a reason to come together.

City of Cooper City, we’re glad you’re here. Welcome to FFEA!

FFEA family, help us welcome our newest member in the comments!

More Than a Fair. It’s Where Memories Grow.

There’s something pretty special about a county fair.

It’s a child proudly showing the animal they’ve spent months caring for. It’s 4-H and FFA members learning responsibility, patience and the kind of work ethic that comes from knowing something depends on you. It’s parents and grandparents cheering from the sidelines, probably taking more pictures than their phones can hold.

And somewhere between the livestock barns, midway rides, fair food and blue ribbons, families come together with their community and traditions get passed from one generation to the next. That’s what makes the Clay County Fair so much more than a day at the fair.

FFEA is proud to have the Clay County Fair as a sponsor and part of our FFEA family. Thank you for creating a place where kids can grow, families can make memories and an entire community can come together.

That’s the good stuff.

What's your go-to fair food?

Could Your Venue Be Our Next FFEA Gathering Spot?

Some of the best connections happen when we get out from behind our desks and spend a little time together. FFEA is looking for members interested in hosting upcoming gatherings at their venues, events or businesses.

We’re looking for spaces for 15–50 people for coffee meetups, discussion groups or educational sessions; after-hours locations where members can grab a bite or a drink while networking; and festivals, venues or event-related businesses willing to give fellow professionals a behind-the-scenes look at how they make it all happen.

Hosting is an opportunity to welcome the FFEA family into your space, show us what you do and help create more opportunities for our members to connect, learn and share ideas.

Interested in hosting or want to volun-told a location? Reach out to Suzanne directly and let’s get something on the calendar.

What’s Going On Wednesday: First Friday in Eustis

Friday, October 2, from 6–9 p.m., downtown Eustis is the place to be for First Friday, a family-friendly street party filled with good food, live music, local vendors, and plenty of family fun.

Hosted by the City of Eustis, First Friday brings the community together every month for an evening downtown.

We love seeing our FFEA members doing what they do best: creating reasons for communities to come together.

Monday Member Spotlight: Lightning Wireless Solutions-LWS

If you’ve ever worked an event, you know just how many conversations are happening behind the scenes at any given moment.

That’s where FFEA Sponsoring Member Lightning Wireless Solutions (LWS) comes in. For years, they’ve provided Motorola two-way radios for events across the country, helping everyone from staff and volunteers to security and production teams stay connected.

And they’ve seen events of just about every size. Sometimes that means a couple of radios. Sometimes it means two thousand. Either way, they understand the organized chaos that comes with bringing an event to life.

We’re glad to have Lightning Wireless Solutions as part of the FFEA family and appreciate their continued support of the people who make Florida’s festivals and events happen.

Grow the FFEA Family, and Get $20!

FFEA is stronger when we bring in people who bring value to our association and our industry.

Think about the colleagues, partners and vendors you love working with. Who would make a great addition to the FFEA family?

Refer them through the FFEA Member Referral Program, and when they join, you’ll get $20 for making the introduction.

A new connection for FFEA. A new resource for our members. And a little folding money for you.

That extra money sure would be nice for the holidays. 😉

Who would be your top three prospects?

👻 Costumes & Cocktails, Boos & Brews! 🍸🎃

Our FFEA members know how to kick off the holiday season, and the South Florida Fair is giving the grown-ups a night of Halloween fun with Costumes & Cocktails on Friday, October 16 at 8 PM in Yesteryear Village in West Palm Beach.

And good news: you’ve still got a few weeks to put together that award-worthy costume. So start planning, crafting, and gluing. 🎃✂️ There’s a $500 cash prize for the best costume, so this might be the year to go all out!

Grab your ghoulfriends, your boo, or your favorite partner in paranormal activity for a night featuring a signature cocktail, grown-up trick-or-treating, a costume contest and plenty of dancing. 👻🍹

We love seeing the creative events our FFEA members produce across Florida. Cheers to the South Florida Fair team for putting a little extra boo in the brew this October!
