🚧 We're Building More Than a Conference in Fort Myers. 🚧

Every year, the FFEA Annual Conference is built on the things that matter mostβ€”peer-to-peer idea sharing, meaningful networking, educational sessions, an exciting Expo, live entertainment showcases, and celebrating excellence across our industry.

This year, we're adding a few new elements to the blueprint.

🏨 A New Home Base
We're bringing the conference to the beautiful Luminary Hotel & Co. in downtown Fort Myers. Located in the heart of the River District, it's surrounded by waterfront views, walkable dining, entertainment, and rooftop gatherings at Beacon Social Drinkery.

πŸ” Behind-the-Scenes Tours
Step beyond the classroom and get a look behind the curtain at some of Fort Myers' top sports, entertainment, and cultural venues. These guided tours combine CEUs, real-world insights, and networking opportunities while showcasing how other organizations build memorable guest experiences.

🎑 A Brand-New After Hours Experience
This year, we're taking the celebration outdoors for a Mini Festival at the Amp. Join us at the Caloosa Sound Amphitheater for live entertainment, an open bar, fireworks, interactive activities, and a chance to see many of our exhibitors in action as they do what they do best, creating unforgettable experiences.

🍽️ New Social Connection Opportunities
Building your network has never been easier. Choose from a Dine Around at one of Fort Myers' favorite local restaurants, a hosted brewery walking tour, or a hands-on mixology class with appetizers. These small-group experiences are designed to help you make meaningful connections in a relaxed setting.

πŸ› οΈ Learning Labs & Hands-On Workshops
We're moving beyond presentations and into practical application. Roll up your sleeves and build new skills through interactive workshops covering topics like risk management planning, LinkedIn optimization, and other tools you can put to work immediately.

New City. New Hotel. New Tools. New Experiences.

Join us in Fort Myers and help build what's next for Florida's events industry.

Who would you recommend folks meet up with?

Everyone's talking about what homeowners save under Florida's proposed property tax reform.

Nobody's talking about what communities lose.

Not the fall festival. Not the community parade. Not the free concert in the park. Not the nonprofit running the after-school program your neighbor's kid depends on.

These aren't frivolous budget line items. They're economic drivers, community connectors, and in many cases the whole reason people feel invested in where they live. And they depend on municipal funding that is very much on the table right now.

I wrote about the part of this debate that isn't making the headlines -- and why those of us who work in events and nonprofits need to be the ones saying it out loud.

Please join us in welcoming Leila Kline to the FFEA team as our Student Intern!

Leila is a senior at the University of Florida pursuing a combined Master's in International Business, majoring in Business Administration with a specialization in International Studies and minoring in Leadership and Economics.

With hands-on experience in event management for festivals and community events, Leila is passionate about creating meaningful, inclusive experiences that bring people together. Her goal is to become a Special Event Specialist and Coordinator, and she's excited to gain valuable industry experience while helping support FFEA's mission.

Leila will be joining us at the 2026 FFEA Convention & Tradeshow, so if you see her, be sure to say hello, introduce yourself, and help us make her feel welcome in the FFEA family!

July is right around the corner. Is your event on the FFEA website yet?

The FFEA Event Calendar is one of the easiest ways to put your festival, event, fair, concert, parade, fundraiser, or community celebration in front of industry professionals, potential attendees, and event enthusiasts across Florida.

You've already done the hard work of planning the event. Now make sure people can find it.
Think of it this way: If an event happens and nobody knows about it, did it really happen? (Okay, yes, but we'd rather not test that theory.)

Take a few minutes to submit your July events and help spread the word. Your next attendee, sponsor, volunteer, vendor, or industry connection could be searching the calendar right now.

Don't let your event become Florida's best-kept secret. Get it on the calendar today.
