🎃 October approaches! The Big Gay Spooky Market can't wait to host you! 🕷️

🍬 October 25th 🎃 10am-4pm 👀 Please note: this event is on a SUNDAY!

👻 Wisconsin Rugby Complex 🍭 Cottage Grove, Wisconsin 🏉

🏳️‍🌈 Come shop over 60 local vendors, meet drag queens, FREE trick or treating (no age limit!), and more! 🕷️ Hot food available for purchase by Naan Stop Fusion, including vegan and gluten free options!

🏳️‍⚧️ Rock your costume and join us for a spooky good time!

👩‍🦼 The building is ADA accessible and the market is held on smooth ground.

🌳 This market is indoors and outdoors. 😷 Masks are REQUIRED to shop indoors, and will be provided if you do not bring your own. 😷

👻 Trick-or-treating will be offered during the first part of the market while supplies last - vendors participating will have signs at their booths.

🐕‍🦺 Dogs, aside from service animals, are not allowed.

It will come as no surprise that TBGM has been Team Hong since she announced her campaign for governor. We love Fran, and we love her policies, ethics, and general awesomeness!

Fran has been and continues to be "one of us" - a member of the working class, just trying to get by in a country designed by and for bigoted, cisgender, white men. As Francesca Hong rises through the political ranks, we hope she continues to represent us and Wisconsin well!

Some of Fran's policies that we are especially keen on seeing happen:

🏳️‍🌈 - Expanded healthcare for the LGBTQIA+ community

🩺 - Lowering the cost of healthcare

❤️ - Lowering the cost of childcare

🍕 - Feeding kids in schools

💵 - Enacting a fair minimum wage

🏠 - Protecting renter rights

💲 - Taxing billionaires properly

🧊 - Protecting ALL Wisconsinites from ICE

🚫 - Cracking down on AI data centers
....and honestly so much more, but you get the point.

💜 Amethyst has been a friend of the market and performer for years, and competed in our first ever Big Gay Pageant to take the crown!

🟣 In her own words from her application: "Amethyst Von Trollenberg is a multi talented dynamo local to Madison, Wisconsin. A proud and fierce member and advocate of the trans community, she plans to open doors for those who come after, one stage at a time."

🟪 As our title holder and representative, Amethyst will make many appearances this year, flaunting her new sash and crown! Make sure you take a picture with her at our upcoming events!

💜 In addition to awarding Amethyst a cash prize, The Big Gay Pride Market will be making a donation directly to her charity of choice: the SS Morris AME Church Food Pantry!

The Big Gay Pride Market was a HUGE success, and it was entirely thanks to our hard working team, our incredible vendors, and our amazing attendees!

Our markets are always a huge undertaking, but the pride market is our largest event of the year, and requires so, so much planning, thought, and love. The community coming together for what has truly become our favorite annual gathering always gets us so emotional - we saw so much love and life this weekend. Y'all make the work entirely worth it.

💛 Beaded bag charm workshop! Hosted by Tori’s Trinkets in Mendota 5! Create a special, one of a kind charm with professional tools and guidance! Tickets can be purchased at the door ✨ (Masks are not required during the workshop)

💚 Cora Hermes, the q***r behind Mercurial Art, is a multi-craft artist making pieces inspired by nature and mythology. They believe food tastes better when it's in a hand-made bowl.

📙 Winnowing Fan Press is your source for riveting urban fantasy and q***r historical romances set in Madison, as well as adorable felted animals!

🌟 Torrin Taigh is a q***r indie high fantasy and romance author based in Madison, WI. Their works are full of defiant hope and feature strong, authentic characters in a q***r-normative world.

💞 Key Bridge-It Daly is a multimedia artist interested in trauma, healing, and inner child work. They make comics about found family that ask questions about what it really takes to love and care for ourselves and each other.
