The Dixie National has been nominated Top 5 Indoor Rodeo of The Year four of the past five years. This award is voted on by the cowboys in the P.R.C.A. The rodeo is produced by Harper & Morgan Rodeo Company. You see some of the best cowboys in the world competing on the best livestock in the world.

We are so excited to be moving our pageant to be held in conjunction with the Mississippi State Fair! Mark your calendars for TWO days of pageant fun! A detailed schedule of events is coming soon!

Applications are now live for our 2026 Miss Dixie National Pageant! Click the pageant information tab on our website to download the application, pageant rules, and style show information. Get ready for an amazing pageant experience! We've made some fantastic changes to enhance the competition, so be sure to dive into the pageant rules and applications carefully!

You won't want to miss out on what's new! We're absolutely thrilled to have you join us this year and are dedicated to ensuring a positive and uplifting experience for everyone! Attention Highschool Rodeo, to check into stalls for Feb. 15th and 16th, go to A and A General Store. They are located in front of barn 8 in the big warehouse.

There they will assign a stall to you as well as handle any shavings needing to be purchased.
The Barn being used for this rodeo is Barn 9.

Our Story

Originally established as an educational tool for the cattle producers of the state, the Dixie National ranks as one of the largest shows of its kind east of the Mississippi River. Adventure, amazing competition, and standout entertainment, packed into three and a half week bring thousands of people donned in denim, buckles and boots to the capital city to celebrate the Dixie National Rodeo & Livestock Show.

The rodeo is produced by Smith, Harper, and Morgan Rodeo Company. Stace Smith of Smith, Harper, and Morgan has won Stock Contractor of The Year in the P.R.C.A. the past eight years in a row. At the Dixie National Livestock Show & Rodeo, you’ll see some of the best cowboys in the world competing on the best livestock in the world.

We are also proud of the great country music acts that perform at halftime!

The Junior Livestock Show is the largest in the state. The Dixie National is the showcase for the 4-H and FFA livestock programs and livestock industry. The grand finale of the Mississippi Junior Roundup at the Dixie National is the Sale of the Junior Champions and is one of the most inspiring parts of the whole event. The first sale in 1970 grossed around $7,600 and now it brings in almost $300,000.
