Today, Ag Commissioner Andy Gipson, along with Governor Tate Reeves and other state officials, announced the 166th Mississippi State Fair will take part in the nationwide Great American State Fair initiative!

“This year, we’re wrapping the fair in red, white and blue as we work to make the Mississippi State Fair the epicenter of all patriotic celebrations,” said Commissioner Gipson. “Preparations are already underway, and over the course of the 12-day event, we are offering a full lineup of patriotic festivities and family-friendly fun, including the Great American Parade, all-American shows and more. I’m especially excited to announce the grand finale planned for the final day of fair, Columbus Day, will feature a special performance by award-winning artist Lee Greenwood followed by a fireworks display.”

We’re bringing the spirit of America250 to life with the Great American 🇺🇸 Mississippi State Fair Parade! Picture this: military vehicles, law enforcement, marching bands, car clubs, motorcycles, horses, the wagon train, patriotic floats—and so much more!
The Great American 🇺🇸 Parade will roll out on Columbus Day, Monday, October 13th at 9:30 a.m., circling the Mississippi State Fairgrounds!
