Last week, our Christchurch office, Amanda and Charlotte, had the opportunity to attend an exclusive tour of Te Kaha (also known as One New Zealand Stadium) last week, gaining valuable insights into how this iconic venue will support conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, and corporate events of all sizes.

The experience included a behind-the-scenes virtual tour and a taste of the stadium’s food and beverage offerings—showcasing why it's set to become one of Christchurch Ōtautahi’s premier event destinations. We’re so excited to see this venue up and running—it will be a fantastic asset for the city and the wider region!

The 4th edition of the International Flavor and Fragrance Conference, held in Tāmaki Makaurau | Auckland last November at the Cordis, was a fantastic success — and Avenues was proud to deliver the full suite of event logistics.

From registrations and visa support to venue, speakers, sponsorship, and on-site coordination — our team ensured everything ran smoothly.

It was a privilege to help bring this international event to New Zealand for the first time. After a five-year hiatus, the global flavor and fragrance community came together in the City of Sails to reconnect, share ideas, and spark new conversations — and we loved being part of it.

Highlights included the Wuliangye Celebration Dinner at beautiful St. Matthew in the city.

Last month, we partnered with Site Safe New Zealand again to deliver their Evening of Celebration events in Wellington, Christchurch, and Auckland — recognising graduates of the Health and Safety in Construction Certificate programme.

Avenues Event Management managed logistics across all three nights — venues, catering, theming, registration, speaker and MC liaison, and sponsor support — so grads could relax and enjoy the moment with friends and whānau.

Huge congrats to all the graduates — we loved being part of your celebration!

⚡🏌️‍♂️ The Master Electricians Members Golf Days brought together branch members in Wellington, Palmerston North, and Nelson for three fantastic days on the golf course. ⛳

What an awesome event to be apart of with great weather and excellent company, members enjoyed a well-earned break while strengthening industry connections!

For the past 18 years, Homegrown has been a cornerstone of Wellington’s music and events scene, bringing great success showcasing the best of New Zealand talent. Its growth and impact have been undeniable—so much so that it has now reached a point where it must evolve and take on bigger opportunities beyond the capital.

This change prompts an important question: what’s next for Wellington? How do we continue fostering a vibrant, world-class event culture that keeps our city buzzing? The departure of such an iconic event leaves both a gap and an opportunity—what will rise to fill it?
