INTRODUCING: SEVEN

Seven’s the type of DJ who belongs and thrives in an underground boiler room. From his humble beginnings at Eva Street, he’s constantly improving his craft and is one of the most capable techno DJ’s to grace the city. He’s partaken in House Work gigs at Bettys and had breakout performances, shocking the crowd and promoters with his technical blends and his dark song selection.

He covers a range of genres, from house to techno to drum and bass and halftime, Seven’s one of the most capable DJ’s around. He has a sinister sound regardless of whatever genre he’s dabbling in, and you can hear the influence from Alix Perez & Oliver Huntermann through his selections.

Definitely one who’s built for underground raves, Seven has the energy and the blends to make any sweaty box of gremlins lose their marbles. He has a massive appreciation for 121 and the events they put on and hope to be involved with them later on this year, and at the rate he’s going you’d be able to bet your bottom dollar that’s how his journey will pan out.

INTRODUCING: JNSY

JNSY is a long time producer and recent time DJ from Upper Hutt, Wellington. His producing journey began almost half a decade ago but he’s only been behind the decks for a year now. To date he’s played just one gig at a club, the first edition of Drum N Eddies: Kickons, but you’d better believe his hard hitting face paced style of mixing had the whole venue elevated as he tore up the dance floor.

When he began mixing his aim was to find harmonic blends, applying his music theory learnt from producing in a practical sense. Since then, he’s found himself drawn to deep minimal liquid and a touch of nuerofunk like a month to a flame. Having been a producer for many years, he’s got a great ear and appreciation for exceptionally produced tunes and an even better second sense for finding blends that’ll blow you away. JNSY looks up to the likes of Monrroe and Magnetude, and this inspiration can be heard in his song selection and his style of producing alike.

Proudly calling himself one of the kids who came from nothing, JNSY is determined to make waves in the music industry on a global scale and when you hear what he’s got up his sleeve, you’ll know he’s on the right path for his vision. He ultimately wants to grow as a producer (while playing gigs on the side) and build up a record label to help others who were just like him have a platform to get the exposure he’s working hard to create for himself right now. You’ll never know what JNSY’s got coming up next but one thing’s always for sure. It’s gonna be big.
