With the support of all you daffodil dancers, everyone who bought some merch and those who donated from home, we SMASHED the $5k fundraising goal and were able to fund the equivalent of:
154 nurse sessions, being able to provide ongoing care and advice.
or
111 specialist counselling appointments for patients and families.
or
along with free accomodation for those travelling for treatment, free transport to appointments, and life-changing cancer research.
However, the money raised cannot even touch the invaluable display of community we saw; The laughter, connection and overall energy of the event showed that nobody has to navigate cancer alone. At times, there can feel like there is a lot of pain in the world, but it didn’t feel like it within the walls of San Fran on that Friday night.
Thank you to everyone who played a part in making Daffodil Day so bright, and thank you for turning up, donating, repping the beautiful t-shirts, stickers and broaches. Together, we have been able to support the Cancer Society to raise vital funds and to fight cancer.
