Last Saturday, at Claudelands Event Centre, the Hospice Waikato & Montana Food and Events Bucket List Banquet brought together 1,030 guests for one of the biggest nights in Kirikiriroa's calendar, raising money for an organisation that shows up for our community when it matters most.
By taking care of all the catering and staffing, our team gets to give the space to focus entirely on their people and their purpose. This year that meant 120 staff serving canapes, a plated three-course dinner across 103 tables, and some delicious Maketu Pies handed out at the door on the way home. And it was worth every minute, with an incredible $660,000 raised on the night.
Thirteen years in, and our community continues to show up in the most incredible way. Every dollar raised supports Hospice Waikato's essential palliative care, ensuring people and families across our region are never alone at the hardest moments of their lives.
Montana Food and Events has been part of this event since the very beginning, and we hope to be here for many more years to come. To our MFE team who gave everything on Saturday, ngā mihi. And to Hospice Waikato and everyone in that room, thank you.
