What a special afternoon! I was lucky enough to photograph the event at the gorgeous newly refurbished , where Kylie from egg community sat down with Kim Murray for a fascinating chat about the story behind the hotel’s stunning transformation. Kim and Kylie were so naturally charismatic that it felt just like sitting in a room with your girlfriends. And honestly, with those beautiful interiors and breathtaking surroundings, Cromlix has to be one of Scotland’s most magical spots for afternoon tea or a weekend escape.

On Saturday I had the pleasure of helping an old industry friend for the wonderful Esther and Josh’s wedding. It was something pretty special. Rossie on the Earn’s gardens were breath taking. I can’t quite put into words how magical it was walking around the colours, sounds and beautiful smells of what felt like a secret garden tucked away in the Scottish countyside. Watching Esther and Josh get married genuinely brought a tear to my eye. Watching Esther radiate sunshine made me think how lucky her family and friends are having her around and made me think of the people in my life that have the same effect. It’s something pretty special and rare. Between taking photos I took some video clips on my phone and thought they were too beautiful to keep tucked away so here they are. A little snippet in time of a magic place and a beautifully happy couple. ❤️

This is an incredibly special family session I did while I was out in Australia at the end of last year. Liesl is one of my closest and most special friends. She is one of the most loyal and kindest humans I could ever ask for in my life and it breaks my heart she lives so far away. We have over 12 years of friendship, we have traveled together, were at each others weddings, held each others babies and watches those babies grow. What an honour it was to capture these memories for her. .g love you and your beautiful family.

Part 3: The ripple effect. I photographed Meredith and Austin’s wedding last year at The Royal College of Physicians. Meredith and Austin brought their families over from the states to get married in Edinburgh. It was a beautiful wedding surrounded by Edinburgh’s stunning history and romantic atmosphere. At the wedding I met Meg, Austin’s sister in law who is a talented wedding photographer in Kauai . We hit it off and laughed about the idea of me coming to Hawaii to shoot a wedding for her. Fast forward to the end of the year and that’s factually what happened. I flew to Kauai and how the most incredible trip hanging out with Meg and her beautiful family and photographing a wedding in the warmth and stunning backdrop of Kauai. Life has a funny way of encouraging your paths to cross with certain people and then adventure and magic happens. Meredith and Austin’s wedding was incredible but that’s not surprising as were in charge of planning, some of the best in the business. This will forever be a memorable wedding for me. A wonderful family, stunning wedding and a ripple effect that lead to adventure and new international friendships. ❤️

Part 2: The ripple effect. I photographed Meredith and Austin’s wedding last year at The Royal College of Physicians. What do you want to remember when their older? I want to remember the little detail’s. The size of their tiny hands in mine when they wanted to hold it. The sound of their laugh when they thought we were the funniest things in the world. Their facial expressions when they don’t hide how they felt. The feeling of them on our arms because that’s where they feel safest. ❤️

Beautiful baby Piper. You can’t go back and do it again, capture them when they are tiny as they change so fast. I get asked a lot of the time when is the best time to do a newborn photo shoot. The truth is it’s always a good time. My style of photography is very natural and baby lead. I don’t do a lot of posing so any stage is good. They change all the time and so quickly. The first couple of weeks newborns sleep a lot and stay nice and curly for photos. After a couple of weeks they are bigger and awake more. Still beautiful for photos. It’s just different.
