Join us at Cottons for a relaxed evening of pottery painting, Prosecco and a delicious charcuterie board, in partnership with local pottery painting business Knutcraft.

Choose your own mug, plate or bowl to paint and personalise, with all materials and guidance provided. No experience needed - just bring your creativity!

Next up in our 'Meet the team' series is Paul, our Deputy General Manager.

With 18 years of experience in the hotel and leisure industry, Paul has held leadership roles across some well-known names in hospitality.

Throughout his career, Paul has gained experience across hotel operations, food & beverage, events, guest services and people management. He’s passionate about developing teams, maintaining high standards and most importantly, creating outstanding guest experiences.

Away from Cottons, Paul is a big fan of video games, with a particular love for Pokémon and Star Wars. He’s also an avid reader and music enthusiast, enjoys keeping active at the gym and taking on outdoor adventures. Want a fun fact? Paul previously co-hosted and ran his own podcast! 🎙️

His advice to our team is simple: never stop looking for opportunities to learn and grow, while remembering to make time for yourself and maintain a healthy balance.

We’re delighted to have Paul as part of the Cottons team. Keep an eye out as we introduce more of the people behind Cottons! 👋

Meet the team!👋

Behind every memorable stay, relaxing spa day and special event is an incredible team. Over the coming months, we’d like to introduce you to some of the people behind Cottons Hotel & Spa and the department heads who help make everything happen.

First up is Phoebe, our Spa Treatments Manager.

Phoebe has been part of the Cottons family for over five years, joining us as a Spa Therapist before progressing to Senior Therapist and now leading our Spa Treatments Department. In her role, she oversees the day-to-day running of the team while also working closely with the Group Spa Director to support spa treatment operations across Daniel Thwaites.

When she’s not at Cottons, you’ll usually find Phoebe spending time with family and friends, enjoying concerts or horror films, or settling into life in her first home. She also has a soft spot for coffee, Dachshunds, McDonald’s and Diet Coke!

Phoebe says: “I’m incredibly proud to be part of the Cottons team and grateful for the opportunities I’ve had over the last five years. If we haven’t met yet, please come and say hello – bonus points if you bring coffee!” ☕
