✨🍄 I’ve been spotting so many little mushrooms on my walks lately, they’re like nature’s hidden treasures, quietly popping up when you least expect them. I can never resist stopping to take a few photos, the colours, the shapes, the way they just appear overnight feels a bit magical. 📷✨

What I love most is how they remind me that there’s a whole world happening beneath our feet those underground networks that keep our soil alive and healthy. recently wrote that mushrooms are often a sign of good soil life, and I love that thought that these tiny caps are proof of nature ticking along as it should. 🌿

Of course, I never pick them just admire and snap a picture. Some can be harmful and many have sneaky lookalikes, so I leave them exactly where they grow. It’s enough just to enjoy the beauty.

🌧️ With all the damp weather, it feels like the perfect time to notice them they really do flourish after rain.

🪴September has been a busy one!🪴
• I hosted my very first kokedama workshop at Chelford Scouts, a huge milestone and such a joy to see everyone leave with their own handmade kokedamas.
• Took part in some brilliant markets and fairs including Rode Hall Farmers Market, Plant Hunters Fair at Arley Hall, and Chelford Village Hall’s Table Top Sale.
• Launched more of my Leaf It With Me plant-care services, from refreshing soils to repotting for healthier, happier plants.
• Behind the scenes I’ve been busy creating new kokedamas and planning for the autumn/winter market season.
• Loved connecting with new plant lovers at Buxton Japan Fest and chatting all things greenery (and even cakes 🍰 at workshops!)

🌿 September has really been about growth, creativity, and community, thank you to everyone who came along, supported, or shared kind words. 💚

✨ Roll on October, more markets, workshops and plenty of mossy magic to come! 🪴🪴

🌸✨ It’s Japan Fest day! ✨🌸

I’m so excited to be here at Japan Fest Buxton 2025 in the stunning Pavilion Gardens! 🇯🇵🎶

The atmosphere is amazing full of Japanese culture, music, cosplay, traditional crafts, and so much creativity. I’ve brought along my handmade kokedamas 🪴 to join in the celebration, and they’re looking right at home amongst all the colour and energy.

If you’re visiting today, come and say hello 👋, see my moss ball creations up close, and take home a little piece of green zen for yourself. 🌿💚

🌿✨ Hello Chelford plant lovers! ✨🌿

I’ll be at the Connecting Chelford Fundraising Table Top Sale tomorrow at the Village Hall from 10am–2pm with my handmade kokedamas (moss-wrapped plants) 🌱

Pop by for a browse, a chat about all things plants, or even bring along a problem plant from home, I’ll be happy to take a look and offer some advice as a little plant care service. 💚

It’s also a great chance to ask me about my upcoming kokedama workshops if you’ve been thinking of joining one, I’d love to tell you more!

🌿✨ Leaf It With Me ✨🌿

This gorgeous Devil’s Ivy came in for a little TLC this week, and what a beauty it is! 💚

I carefully removed it from its old soil, which was compacted and tired, and refreshed it with a high-quality indoor plant mix, a blend that’s airy, free-draining, and full of nutrients to encourage healthy roots and lush new growth.

Interestingly, I also chose to repot it into a smaller pot than the one it arrived in. 🌱 Why? Because a pot that’s too large can hold on to excess moisture, leading to soggy soil and unhappy roots. A snugger fit helps the plant feel secure, reduces the risk of overwatering, and encourages stronger growth.
