A little garden magic at MacIntosh House today!

Our family dahlia plot is one of our favorite corners of the property — every bloom is named after a member of the family, so when we walk through it, we're really walking through our own story. Today, after weeks of waiting, Mom's dahlia finally opened up! Not fully unfurled just yet, but it's a beautiful sign of what's to come.

With a wedding staying here next week, we're already picturing the guests wandering through a garden in full bloom for their photos. Fingers crossed the frost holds off just a little longer! 🤞

Mrs. T is busy in the kitchen today!

She’s making another batch of our homemade breakfast sausages for our next set of guests at MacIntosh House! There’s nothing quite like waking up to a delicious, homemade breakfast made with locally sourced ingredients.

We’re proud to source all of our pork, beef, and eggs locally from our friends at Triple B Ranch. Supporting local farmers while serving our guests the very best — it’s a win-win!

We can’t wait to serve up a delicious breakfast to our next guests!

Over the last three summers at the MacIntosh House, we’ve been hard at work building new gardens and redesigning many of the existing spaces around the property. Each season has brought new ideas, new blooms, and a little more beauty to enjoy.

Although the weather is still feeling a little gloomy, signs of spring are finally arriving. The Hellebore and Hosta garden is beginning to wake up and slowly fill out, while the Sweet William and Bleeding Hearts are starting to bloom beautifully.

Around the property, the butterfly garden and wildflower garden are also beginning to come back to life and will soon be buzzing with pollinators and colour throughout the summer months.

Inside, all of the seedlings grown right here at the MacIntosh House have now moved outdoors and are getting ready for planting over the next couple of weeks. Some are already in pots!

In the sunroom, the Dahlias are slowly waking up and preparing to join the Ranunculus, Eucalyptus, Strawflowers, and Snapdragons in this year’s cut flower garden.

We can’t wait for guests this season to stroll through the gardens and enjoy everything coming into bloom.
