Over the last three summers at the MacIntosh House, we’ve been hard at work building new gardens and redesigning many of the existing spaces around the property. Each season has brought new ideas, new blooms, and a little more beauty to enjoy.
Although the weather is still feeling a little gloomy, signs of spring are finally arriving. The Hellebore and Hosta garden is beginning to wake up and slowly fill out, while the Sweet William and Bleeding Hearts are starting to bloom beautifully.
Around the property, the butterfly garden and wildflower garden are also beginning to come back to life and will soon be buzzing with pollinators and colour throughout the summer months.
Inside, all of the seedlings grown right here at the MacIntosh House have now moved outdoors and are getting ready for planting over the next couple of weeks. Some are already in pots!
In the sunroom, the Dahlias are slowly waking up and preparing to join the Ranunculus, Eucalyptus, Strawflowers, and Snapdragons in this year’s cut flower garden.
We can’t wait for guests this season to stroll through the gardens and enjoy everything coming into bloom.
