Such a very sad day. This world has lost a sweet hero. Strong, compassionate and talented beyond words. RIP sweet Dolly.

Dolly Parton has died at the age of 80. The country music legend was known for songs including “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You” and “9 to 5.” She also starred in movies like ‘Steel Magnolias’ and ‘The Best Little Wh******se in Texas’.

Now that we’ve had a few days to catch our breath, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the 2026 South Grenville Bluegrass Festival such a great week!

To our amazing volunteers and committee members who have spent 1,000's of hours to the planning, running and post-festival clean-up, thank you for the countless hours, early mornings, late nights and for jumping in wherever you were needed. There is a lot that happens behind the scenes, and we simply couldn’t do it without you.

To the incredible musicians who took our stage, thank you for sharing your music and talent with us. You gave us some fantastic shows and a lot of great memories.

To our sponsors, thank you for continuing to believe in and support our festival. Your generosity helps us bring this event to our community year after year, and we are so grateful to have you behind us.

To our vendors, thank you for being part of the week and adding to the festival experience. We loved having you with us and appreciate everything you brought to the grounds.

And to our campers, weekend pass holders, day visitors and everyone who came through the gates, THANK YOU! Whether this was your first South Grenville Bluegrass Festival or you’ve been coming for years, we are so glad you chose to spend your time with us.

We heard so many wonderful comments throughout the week about the music, the friendly atmosphere and how welcome people felt. That means a lot to us because that is exactly what we want this festival to be.

At the end of the day, it’s the people who make the South Grenville Bluegrass Festival what it is.

Thank you for another wonderful year. We hope you went home with some great memories, some new friends and a song or two still stuck in your head!

Grab a partner and put your teamwork to the test as you solve a clue, search for treasures, and explore the festival grounds. It's a fun way to meet new people, discover interesting festival and local landmarks, and enjoy a little friendly competition.

No pre-registration is required. Just meet us at the Small Hall at 10:00 a.m., and we'll explain the rules before sending everyone off on the hunt.

Are you coming to the South Grenville Bluegrass Festival? If you'd like a chance to play on stage with a group of wonderful musicians, consider joining the "Band Scramble".

The Band Scramble is one of the most fun and easygoing traditions at the South Grenville Bluegrass Festival. It's a great way to meet other musicians, make new friends, and enjoy making music together.

Here's how it works. Everyone who wants to participate signs up, and we'll randomly place you into a band with other musicians. Your group will get together, choose three or four songs, have a quick practice, and then perform on the main stage Thursday evening. The number of songs each band performs will depend on how many bands are formed.

There are no judges, no competition, and no pressure. It's simply about having fun, trying something new, and sharing the stage with fellow bluegrass musicians.

Whether you've been playing for years or are newer to bluegrass, you're welcome to join. If you play a standard bluegrass instrument, we'd love to have you take part.
