It's live music in an intimate home setting. It's a venue where the audience can take off their shoes, stretch out their legs and/or kick up their heels. It's local music heroes and international recording artists up close and personal. It's informal, un-stuffy and candle-lit. It's a crazy spread of inspired delicious vegan food. It's old friends and kindred strangers, neighbours and family and ch
ildren. It's music close enough to touch you and make you laugh and cry and sigh and cheer and dance. It's BYOB! It's chatting over pie with an artist you've been listening to on the radio for over 20 years. It's a crackling campfire after the show. It's a random conga line. It's a soft landing and a home-cooked meal and a comfy bed for travelling musicians. It's a chance for musicians to meet their fans, make new ones, and sell their merchandise directly. We love live music! And what better way to listen to great live music than in our living room. The Rookery has been presenting musical events in intimate home settings since Feb. 2010. These are private non-profit events. All admission donations go directly to the artists.
