In just TWO days Sultans of String will be performing at Our World Music Festival in Kitchener!! 🎉

6pm - 7pm the headline act Sultans of String will take the stage!

The JUNO nominated group features Chris McKhool violin, Kevin Laliberté guitar, and Drew Birston bass.

Joined by special guests percussionist Juan Carlos Medrano Magallaneson, vocalists Leen Hamo & Donné Roberts, and Saskia Tomkins who plays the traditional Swedish nyckelharpa.

Performing a concert of songs from the 2 recent SOS albums Refuge & Sanctuary will close the festival with bang!🤯❤️

Our World Music Festival is just around the corner! Here are the next round of artists! 👏

4pm – 4:45 - Mandippal – creates a beautiful blend of poetry of pop/rock! And with over a decade of songwriting and performing under his belt he makes for an incredible performance 🤩

5pm – 5:45 – Big Band Theory – KW’s very own jazz big band. 11 horns, a great rhythm section and wonderful vocalist, all in the style of the classic big bands ✨

Here is our next round of artists for this Sundays line up!

2pm – 2:30 - CaluJules Flamenco - Claudia Aguirre and Julian Bern are very popular in KW with their performances, as well as teaching flamenco dance classes! They will also present their own annual Flamenco Fest here in Kitchener-Waterloo later this summer 💃🎵

3pm – 3:45 - Ben Rollo – One of K-W’s most accomplished singer songwriters, and multi-instrumentalists, Ben will also offer his great original tunes, and some popular cover songs 🎶

Our World Festival of Music sadly announces that the event is cancelled for a 2nd year. The annual June OW had hoped to offer a postponed festival later this summer. However, with the step 2 delay in Waterloo Region, and City of Kitchener safety procedures, OW joins other Kitchener summer events in looking towards returning in 2022. Best wishes, and hope to see you all next year.

Our World Festival of Music 2020, originally scheduled for June 13th, is postponed until such time as the City of Kitchener resumes public programming. The City of Kitchener has announced that "All city-affiliated events and festivals, as well as third-party events, and festivals in city facilities or on city property have been cancelled up to and including June 30".

The Our World Festival starts today at Kitchener City Hall Civic Square! The first and newly added opening act of The Boys and I will open the festival at 4pm.
