Meet Rugby Canada Players at the Calgary Rugby Clubhouse!

The Calgary Hornets have organized a special meet & greet and Q&A with Rugby Canada stars this Saturday, December 20th, from 1–3 PM at the Calgary Rugby Clubhouse (9025 Shepard Rd SE). Everyone is welcome!

Daleaka Menin – A powerhouse prop and inspirational leader, Daleaka recently represented Canada at the Rugby World Cup where they won the silver medal and she earned her 60th cap! 🙌🏻Known for her strength, resilience, and leadership on and off the field, she’s passionate about mentoring young athletes and growing women’s rugby in Canada.

Piper Logan – A dynamic and versatile playmaker, Piper is a Silver Medalist who has showcased incredible speed, skill, and game intelligence at the international level. She’s recognized for her creativity on the field and her dedication to inspiring the next generation of rugby players.

Jake Thiel – A highly skilled and versatile player, Jake brings energy, vision, and experience to every game. He’s passionate about youth development, giving back to the rugby community, and helping young athletes reach their full potential.

This is your chance to:

Final Day of Autumn Nations at the CRP! 🍂🏉

Doors open at 7:30 AM with breakfast ready and Guinness flowing—perfect fuel for the only game of the day: Wales vs South Africa, kicking off at 8:10 AM.

Everyone is welcome—whether you’re a lifelong fan, new to the game, or just love the excitement of rugby, this is the place to be. Join our rugby community, cheer together, and celebrate the sport we love. At the CRP, rugby is rugby all year long, on and off the pitch, and there’s no better way to share the passion than with friends old and new.

We’re incredibly proud to share that our very own Kitchen Manager, Will Way, will be in the North Star Boxing Charity Event on November 22 at Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino — event starts at 4:00 PM!

Will is entering the middleweight division, with his opponent set after the weigh-in on November 21. He’s fighting to raise awareness and funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association — a cause close to his heart.

We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming FREE Rookie Rugby Course at Calgary Rugby Park! This 3-hour session, led by Breanne Morgan from Rugby Alberta, is designed to help coaches create fun, engaging, and safe rugby experiences for new players.

You’ll take part in a mix of classroom learning and on-field activities, explore Rookie Rugby resources, and gain the skills to run age-appropriate, non-contact sessions in a supportive environment. Please dress for the weather, as part of the course will take place outdoors.
