Gardening during the quiet season is a lovely way to unwind. Like a reward, the orchids are beautiful again this year.

🌼Sometimes a celebrant is called upon to officiate at some beautiful and personal events where family stories include great loss and sadness along with a celebration.

🌼Joy and sadness in the same sentence, and the hope that the words will bring comfort to ease the sadness and offer space to feel the joy of a vow renewal.

🌼That’s the line I walked a couple of days ago and I feel so much richer for the experience.

Yesterday I was honoured to officiate a memorial in Kurri for a beautiful man who died recently.

The family was so lovely to work with and I was delighted when they gifted me this glorious native flower arrangement.

Thank you C.R.Smyth and Son for providing such wonderful support for grieving families.

I have a meeting mid-morning, as preparation for a memorial service.

I’m up early, and spending a few minutes on the verandah, with morning coffee, and the sound of birds with gentle rain.

It’s is such a lovely way to start the day.
