Recent vow moments that made me smile.

Because this is my favourite part of the whole ceremony - the bit where everything goes quiet and two people stand up in front of everyone they love and say the things they’ve been holding in their hearts for year.

Out loud.
In front of witnesses.
And everyone just feels it.

Different couples. Different ceremonies. Hundreds of people that will forget what it felt like to be in that moment.

That’s the magic of good vows.
They don’t just speak to the person in front of you - they speak to everyone watching.

And creating a ceremony that holds space for that to happen; an absolute honour.

And guess what… every single JBCC couple has access to my vow guide, a brainstorming session and unlimited vow writing support.

Got you, boo x

Erica + Caleb - Surfaris, Crescent Head. March 2026.

Surrounded by their favourite people, who spent the entire weekend frolicking in the ocean, splashing in the creek and sipping margaritas.

When their love story was shared ~

This is what Caleb’s Pop saw; a couple wholeheartedly invested - pride filling his eyes.

When vows of love + life where shared ~

This is what their friends saw; two people undeniably made for loving each other.

When they sealed the deal with a smooch ~

This is what their guy, Kye boy saw.
Caleb and Erica didn’t see much - their eyes were closed.

And this is me.

Off to the side. Smiling ear to ear. Watching it all unfold.

Watching you and your people laugh, smile and shed tears of happiness. A collection of friends sharing joy and excitement.

And a marriage maker with a very full heart.

Kyle, Temeka + Baby Hector 🤍

Standing on the balcony of surrounded by people that have loved them loudly and for a very long time.

We rewound the clock, back to where it all began and shared both fits of laughter and teary moments of joy as their story unfolded and evolved.

Because the best stories aren’t grounded in chronological facts, they’re captured through anecdotes, feelings and memories.

The ones that remind you, and your favourite people exactly why you’re all celebrating.

Things I loved about Tam + Ethan’s ceremony.

No wedding party - instead, moments before the ceremony began, Tam quietly gathered her whole group of girlfriends, handed them a bouquet and asked them to walk her down the aisle. Not a dry eye.

A first kiss in arrival - a moment just for the two of them, before the world watch. Setting the warmth and intention for everything that followed.

A traditional Filipino cord and veil ceremony; woven in with so much care and love. A nod to where Tam comes from, and the family who shaped her.

Vows that made people smile and cry. The good, real ones.

And then - down the aisle as husband and wife. Straight into a champagne tower, a first dance as a family, serenaded by the incredible - before meandering through the lemon trees and into cocktail hour.

Magic moments shaped by .huntervalley

Because maybe, this is exactly what weddings are supposed to feel like.

Warm. Relaxed. Value-led.

My favourite part of being a storyteller isn’t standing out front, microphone in hand, weaving together timelines and nuances into a rom-com-esque love story.

It’s more subtle than that.

It’s the quiet glance between a mum and her daughter when the words hit a little deeper than expected.

A dad, arms crossed, doing everything he can, not to try cry (and failing miserably).

The wedding party nudging each other through laughter, because ‘they were there’ or because ‘it is so them’.

It’s the room (or the garden, or the vineyard) full of people who have loved these two long before I ever met them. Hearing their story in a new light, and it all making sense.

It’s the smiles. The giggles. The proud little nods. The tears that are wiped away by tissues hidden in sleeves.

Because in those moments, my job isn’t just to get two people married.

It’s to remind them - and everyone else…

Of where they came from. Of who’s been there along the way. And of just how loved they really are.

And getting to share in that - wedding after wedding - will never not feel like magic.

Let’s be real, sometime people say something that really, truly gives you the ick.

Now, it doesn’t mean that I didn’t enjoy the wedding, or that the mouths they popped out of were attached to average humans - but even years later, they kinda make me gag.

Vendor friends - tell me your worst!

How do I put into words something that has been such a huge part of my life for so long?!

Something that’s taken me from having a little baby to a mother of two school age children.

From my 20s to my mid 30s.

Through a pandemic, the post covid boom + the ever fluctuating wedding industry.

From flower crowns to veils; pampas to peonies; mirrored welcomes to lace.

Restless nights haunted by imposter syndrome; pinch me moments and the quiet ones, chipping away behind the scenes.

I’m so grateful for them all - for the people I’ve met, and the stories I’ve told. For everyone who’s trusted me with the privilege of their biggest day. Thank you!

Seven years in - and there’s a whole lot more to go. X
