There’s something we love about taking a song everyone knows and giving it a completely different feel.

This time we flipped Not The Only One by Sam Smith into a laid back reggae groove. Same lyrics, same emotion but with a whole new vibe. It’s one of our favourite ways to keep our performances fresh while still paying respect to the original.

Whether it’s a ceremony, canapé hour or a relaxed evening reception, these unexpected arrangements always seem to catch people by surprise in the best way.

Live music doesn’t always have to sound like the record. Sometimes the best moments come from hearing a familiar song in a way you never expected.

There’s something special about hearing a song you know and love, stripped back to its acoustic roots.

Our take on Wonderwall is a perfect example of why acoustic duo music works so well for weddings. It’s familiar, relaxed and emotional without ever overpowering the moment. Whether it’s welcoming guests before the ceremony, creating an intimate atmosphere as you walk down the aisle, or setting the tone during canapés, the right music doesn’t just fill the silence, it shapes the entire experience.

One thing we’ve learnt after performing at countless weddings is that people connect with music they know. It’s the songs that spark conversations, bring back memories and get people quietly singing along that create the moments guests remember long after the day is over.

Our role isn’t to steal the spotlight, it’s to complement it. We read the room, adapt our performance to the energy of the day and create an atmosphere that feels effortless. Calm when it needs to be, uplifting when the moment calls for it, and always centred around the couple and their guests.

Reggae is where it all started for us in the wedding scene… before we got a little “corrupted” along the way 😅 but honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
At CHOKOLATE, versatility is the party trick.
