Recently, a parent reached out to restart piano lessons after his daughter rediscovered her love for the instrument, something she had stepped away from in 2021 during COVID. What began as a simple lesson quickly became something far more meaningful.
As we caught up, we found ourselves reflecting on the five years that had quietly passed. Five years of change, of uncertainty, of growth. We spoke about the highs that shaped us and the challenges that tested us, moments that, at the time, felt significant, yet now form part of a much larger story.
It was a powerful reminder of how life moves forward, often without us realising just how much we’ve evolved along the way. In a world that constantly pushes us to keep going, to achieve more and do more, we rarely give ourselves the space to pause. But in that pause, there is clarity. There is perspective. There is gratitude.
Sometimes, the most meaningful progress isn’t just in moving forward—it’s in taking a moment to look back, to recognise the distance travelled, and to truly understand who you’ve become along the way.
