Once again, it was a privilege to welcome Tas TAFE to Tailrace and share in such a special day for their graduates.

There were plenty of proud families, friends and employers in the room, celebrating the achievements of Tasmania's builders, chefs, electricians, beauticians and so many more.

The Freycinet Room has plenty of space to showcase products, meet people and create conversations across your industry.

It's a flexible space that can be shaped to suit your trade show, with room for around 45 trade tables in the Freycinet Room, or around 80 when the bi-fold doors open into the Tamar and Cradle Rooms. And if 80 isn't quite enough, we can always get a little creative with the layout.

Earlier this year, Reconciliation Tasmania welcomed more than 300 people to the Reconciliation Week Breakfast with a smoking ceremony at the entrance to Tailrace.

With spring just around the corner, conversations in the kitchen are starting to turn to what we'll grow in our Chef's Garden this season.

Over the years we've grown tomatoes, pumpkins, zucchini, rocket, radishes and plenty of fresh herbs.

You might recognise the name from your inbox, or perhaps the voice from the other end of the phone.

Meet (or re-meet!) Alana Barker, one of our Events Coordinators and a familiar face around Tailrace.

Alana has been helping people bring their events together at Tailrace for many years, usually accompanied by her infectious laugh and a big smile.

But how well do you really know her? I asked Alana a few fun questions and this is what she had to say:
