My worst fear as a founder of a nonprofit is fading into the background...

I understand it happens all the time when people take a chance and step out to try something new...but I think what makes it hard for me is that it's usually where we find ourselves in life...and it's the knowing that... that stirred my heart in the first place. So, I can't quit...even if it continues just for a few...I won't pull back from feeling unreasonable expectations of 'success'.

So while life is busy, and we are determined to embrace every moment with our Senior son this year, and our other precious two of course...we know there are families like us, that through the busy-ness, LONG to meet together in person...to have conversations...to take a minute and take a chance on the potential of friendship that truly grasps the hardship and isolation that exists within the walls of caregiving.

If this hits you, like it's hitting me today ~ please consider joining us. We offer authenticity, transparency, kindness and a bit of reprieve for a life we seek joy in, but also experience real exhaustion in our pursuit of that joy 🩶

Establishing a nonprofit is intimidating.

Assembling a Board of Directors takes a lot of hope and a lot of prayer.

Seeing the people that CHOOSE to sacrifice their time and talents for the success of a dream in your heart ~ is an overwhelming, recurring gift.

It may sound silly to some, but a huge part of my vision has always been nutrition. We know what it's like, as a family, to put something on the calendar and then find ourselves either skipping a meal or eating the yucky kind of fast meal 🫩

I have a vision for so much more than that for each and every Ultimate Shift event we plan.

To me, summer just calls for FRESH and COLORFUL and this is literally one of the pics I was sent today in preparation for our event this evening 😮

It is absolutely beautiful and humbling when the people that CHOOSE to come along side you LITERALLY help your visions come to life 😍

So excited for good food and even better conversations and time with an amazing community of people tonight 🩶

Our event on the 10th was seriously so great!

It was a gift to have such an amazing cheering squad AND incredible photographers working together to capture these precious moments for not only our , but for several fantastic families!

We have NEVER had this many smiles all around!!!

So SO thankful for Sarah Kathleen Photography .photo and Paige Bricker Photography for sharing their amazing gifts and talents with us 🩶
