Are you a "Stranger Things" fanatic? At our client’s request, OCMG transformed a venue space at a Milwaukee, WI boutique hotel called the Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel into a uniquely themed experience that simulated the Netflix smash hit - Stranger Things. Our client took a trip to the Upside Down in what OCMG branded “Leaner Things,” tying together the tv show and their company's purpose. This client specializes in Lean Supply Chain Management and Distribution. They answer the question, "How can I do more with less?" Essentially, they find ways to significantly cut logistics costs, speed up order processing and fulfillment, improve customer satisfaction with quicker delivery, and position the company for growth. OCMG specializes in event coordination with a flair for entertainment and creativity. Bringing Stranger Things to life in a world outside the Upside Down required our team to understand key elements from the show that fans and die-hards would understand but also appeal to those who had never watched the show. The goal was to create an experience like no other – one that incorporated iconic, memorable symbolic elements from the show, the client's brand and was interesting to the attendees. We coordinated with our partners to bring the event and theme to life on time and on budget. Specifically, we incorporated: 📼 The Upside Down 🕹️ Joyce Byer’s Alphabet Light Wall from Season One 📼 Giant Coloring Wall of Stranger Things icons & symbols (Castle Byers, Demogorgon, etc.) 🕹️ 80’s attire and décor with 80’s patterned table covers & high boys (like Eleven’s Mall outfit) 🧇 Eggo waffles and toaster (Eleven) 📼 There’s fog (like the “dust particles” from the Upside Down) 🕹️ Light up a board saying, “leaner things” (used to communicate w/ people in Upside Down) 📼 Arcade games 🕹️ Glow lights 📼 Tulle hanging from the ceiling (Like the decay and representation of Upside Down) 🕹️ Blacklight 📼

In this post-COVID world, we are seeing events of all sizes return to the country. During a recent site visit to Indianapolis the whole city was setting up for the College Football Playoff National Championship and the excitement generated from the event was quite palpable. Over 68,000 people attended the game and over 100,000 people were expected in downtown Indianapolis for the evening. While we toured Lucas Oil Stadium, Biltwell Event Center, Harry & Izzy's, the Indianapolis Convention Center, The Westin Indianapolis, Bullseye Event Group's tailgate space, and the Mavris Arts & Event Center we saw this city-wide event come to life!
