Ariana + Sean’s engagement session is still one of my favorites because the way it feels ✨

My best engagement photo tip? Stop worrying about being photogenic. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. That’s your photographer’s job. Your job is to show up, trust the direction have FUN, and focus on each other.

A beautiful ceremony, one incredible table, your favorite people, really good food, and enough time to actually enjoy all of it. That’s luxury.

The more weddings I photograph, the more I understand the appeal of making the guest list smaller and the experience bigger. More intention in the details. More time with every person you invited. More room to linger over dinner, have actual conversations, and be completely present for your own wedding.

Because intimate doesn’t have to mean simple. It can mean incredibly considered, beautifully designed, and centered around giving a smaller group of people an unforgettable experience.

And if we’re all sitting around a table that looks like this at Wynchester Gardens… I’m sold. 🙌🏻

Give me a real couple and a little room to play 🙌🏻

One of my favorite things about photographing weddings is finding that place where fashion and real connection meet. I want to make the photograph beautiful. I want the light, the composition, the dress, the flowers and every incredible detail to have their moment. But I never want to photograph the people out of it.

The silver sequins. The embellished suit. That insane color story. The flowers. The movement. THIS is the kind of wedding photography I want more of.

Editorial when it should be. Real when it matters. And never afraid of a little personality.

Lauren + Spencer already did the getting married part in Oregon. This was the part where everyone they love got to celebrate them. 🤍

And what a celebration it was.

We spent the first part of the day walking around the room absolutely gushing over everything Avery from Embellished had created. She took Lauren and Spencer’s favorite colors and somehow turned them into an entire world that felt completely like them. Every time I thought I had seen everything, there was another little detail.

Oregon cookies as a nod to where they eloped. A massive candy bar. Custom cocktails. And Dino nuggets made especially for the bride, which might be my favorite detail of all. 😂

Nothing was there simply because it was pretty. It was personal.

We spent the afternoon obsessing over all of it, taking gorgeous photographs, and then watching Lauren and Spencer walk into a room filled with everyone they love and finally get to have their celebration.

It was lavish and beautiful, yes. But more than anything, it was so perfectly them.

Natalie + Jesse. The Mayo. And one spectacular Saturday. 🖤

Black tie, white flowers, the prettiest candle lit dinner, a lace gown and veil that deserved every bit of that Mayo entrance, a room full of people who clearly came ready to celebrate, and a dance floor that absolutely delivered.

I have so much I want to share from this wedding, but for now, 20 photographs from a really, really beautiful day.

Congratulations, Mr. + Mrs. Burd. What a way to begin. 🤍
