Thank you Judge Wall for organizing the event!

September is National Recovery Month. As part of this recognition and celebration, the Common Pleas Mental Health Court, led by Judge Stacy Wall, will host the Mental Health and Community Resource Fair on September 3, 2026. The Resource Fair started as a small idea to share information about various community agencies. Now in its 5th year, more than 80 agencies will be represented. Attendees will receive a hygiene bag from Tri-County Board of Recovery & Mental Health Services.

New to the Fair this year, Judge Wall is excited to announce that the Miami County Dental Clinic will be providing free dental screenings. Social Security Disability, a first time attendee, will provide representatives for on-site questions. To celebrate the 5th year of awareness, various drawings will be held that will include items such as a man’s and woman’s bike. In addition to many of the agencies returning, Cory, from Knuckleheads Barbershop, will be providing free haircuts. This has been a very popular service each year. Likewise, every year, many need assistance with their driver’s license and the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles is on-site with their laptop ready to go.

The event takes place on the Courthouse Plaza. However, Short Street is also closed for mobile units from Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), Miami County Job & Family Services, Clothes That Work, and the Troy-Miami County Library. OOD will host on-site job interviews with Meijer. Job interviews will also be conducted by General Films and KSM Metal Fabrication.

This is an opportunity for the public to learn about any agency and resource in Miami County and the surrounding counties from the Miami County Park District, to treatment agencies, clothing resources, food panties, and employment opportunities. The Court cannot thank our community enough for all it has to offer. Judge Wall states, “This Resource Fair represents the wealth of resources available. It is not just for the individual in need but rather is an opportunity for all of the community to be able to learn and share the information. Everyone knows someone in need. It is easy to say, “I’m sure there is help for that.’ However, not knowing where to seek the help is often what prevents individuals from progressing. This Fair is designed to educate, to share and to connect.”

Tri-County Board has partnered with Tim Horton’s (Troy) and North Star Coffee Station (Piqua), who provide coffee sleeves advertising the event. Food will also be available for purchase. The Fair is September 3, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Courthouse Plaza.
