📣 Important Update: Family Movie Night Canceled

We’re so disappointed to share that due to the forecast for rain and possible severe weather, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel our Family Movie Night at Evergy Plaza on June 17.

The safety and comfort of our community comes first, and with the unpredictable weather, we felt this was the most responsible choice.

Shawnee County Parks + Recreation, in partnership with event sponsor Stone House Animal Hospital, is excited to roll out the red carpet for dogs and their humans at this year’s Doggie Date Night! Set for Saturday, June 14 from 5–7 p.m. at Evergy Plaza in Downtown Topeka, this tail-wagging celebration promises an evening packed with fun, fetch and furry friendship.

Get ready for a doggone good time as hundreds of pet lovers and their pups gather to enjoy a variety of pet-friendly vendors, tasty treats and engaging activities designed to delight both two-and four-legged guests. Capture the cuteness at the dog photo booth, make a memorable keepsake with your pup’s paw print and explore the latest in pet gear and goodies.

Want to see your dog’s face on the big screen? Comment your best, high-quality photo of your dog photo on THIS POST by Wednesday, June 12, and your canine companion could shine in the spotlight on Evergy Plaza's giant display.
