What a month of "unadulterated" brilliance at Primal 'Cue! 🎙️ The May Trivia Challenge is officially in the books, and it was a rollercoaster of high scores, questionable British accents, and a finale that truly lived up to the name "Chaos." 🍖💡

Here is the breakdown of how May 2026 shook out:

The May Leaderboard 🏆
• 1st Place: Isaac's Team (35 Challenge Points) – A dominant performance from start to finish! They showed up every single week and racked up a massive 31 bonus points to secure the top spot. 🥇
• 2nd Place: Team Zissou (20 Challenge Points) – Consistently strong, proving that quality over quantity can still land you on the podium. 🥈
• 3rd Place: Wrong Answers Only (16 Challenge Points) – Living proof that sometimes the "wrong" answers lead to the right results! 🥉

127: Total trivia warriors who joined us throughout the month. 👥
1,680.3: Total points scored across all teams—you all are significantly smarter than you look! 🧠 (I kid!)

The final week of the month saw Big Sticks take 3rd place with a score of 72, ending the challenge on a high note! Meanwhile, our "Chaos Rules" final question shook up the middle of the pack, proving that no lead is safe when the wagers get wild. 📉

What a night at Primal'Cue! 🍖🧠

Going into last night, I thought we had a solid mid-level difficulty game on our hands, but the final scores proved otherwise—that question set definitely put up a fight! Even with the brain-busters, we had a fantastic turnout with 8 teams and 30 players packing the house and enjoying that incredible Wednesday night tri-tip.

Here are some fun stats and standout moments from the first half of the game:
• The Ultimate Buzzsaw: Question 7 was an absolute heartbreaker. I asked for the most-watched day in CNN history (January 6, 2021). Every single one of our 8 teams got it wrong, all giving the answer September 11, 2001, making it a complete shutout on the board!

• Halftime Heroes: For the halftime question, you had to dig deep into your music knowledge to name 6 of the last 8 artists starting with the letter 'B' to win the Grammy for Album of the Year (like Bad Bunny, Beck, and Beyoncé). Team Zissou did the best out of the bunch, getting 4 of the 6 possible answers correct to pull in 8 points!

• First Half Dominance: Speaking of Team Zissou, they came out swinging and claimed the top spot on the First Half scoreboard with a massive 41 points! They were followed closely by Big Sticks with 35 points and Isaac's Team with 33 points.

🔥 The B.B.Q. (Brian's Baseline Quotient) Update 🔥
As always, we have to calculate the B.B.Q. for ultimate bragging rights! (And as a friendly reminder, having the highest B.B.Q. is purely a performance indicator and doesn't currently result in winning a prize).

The B.B.Q. crown for the night goes to Isaac's Team! 👑
They put up an impressive 83 total points with a 4-person roster, earning them a massive, top-of-the-pack B.B.Q. of 339.9!
